“Great apartment with a stunning view”
Lorrie's apartment is very comfortable and efficient. The apartment is modern, nicely decorated, and furnished with all the amenities that a traveler could want...cozy accommodations, clean bathroom, convenient kitchen, and a private patio. The view is enchanting and relaxing. The apartment's location is convenient to atms, shopping, restaurants, and the beach. Lorrie is a gracious hostess with knowledgable of the many sights Sicily has to offer.
“So good I cannot wait to go back!”
Location, comfort, cleanliness and the helpfulness of the owner were outstanding! I have bad knees, but the elevator never failed, so I didn't have to climb stairs. Lorrie advised me on shopping for the best buys, restaurants with the greatest food, markets for produce and fresh pasta, location of pizza parlors, and everything else I could want. I also have a bulging disk in my back, but the bed was so comfortable I slept without pain every night. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glassware and silverware; even detergent and other amenities were in place. Bathroom was spacious and spotless. Balcony view was breathtaking. Less than 10 minutes walking distance from shopping, restaurants, the beach and ocean. Color combinations of furniture, bedspread, rugs, etc. tied in with the ocean and sunshine. It was the trip of a lifetime! Lorrie knew directions to all the tourist sights, too, and there are many.
“My incredible 2-week stay in Giardini Naxos with Lorrie's help”
Lorrie is an excellent hostess. She has endless tips and recommendations on what to do, what to see what and where to eat while visiting this beautiful place. Her home is very comfortable and in a great location. It's conveniently located close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and gelato shops! No need for a car, unless you will want to see more of Sicily. There is an unobstructed view of Taromina and the sea from the balcony. On nice cloudless days, MT Etna can be seen, also. The apartment is very private. What I liked best was the location. The scenery, people are friendly, you're able to walk everywhere, even to the train station and the bus stops. What I liked least was the traffic. There's so much to like, it really is difficult to pinpoint negative things.
“Fantastic location in a warm and friendly community”
My stay at SeaView in May 2009 was a wonderful experience. My initial impression was of a bright cheery, and cozy apartment with all the amenities needed for a carefree stay. Lorrie, the owner, was present and made sure we were introduced to the local residents; what fun they were. She went out of her way to ensure we would be comfortable, well briefed on the local amenities and welcome. The apartment is perfect for two persons, certainly comfortable for 3 to 4 persons, and centrally located for local walks, and to the bus and train stations. Oh yes...the view! The Med and beach are visible from the balcony and I could hardly wait to unpack and start celebrating La Bella Vita! The kitchen is small and has all you need; but, who wants to cook when there are wonderful restaurants, bakeries, and wine merchants within a five minute walk. Would I recommend SeaView and would I stay there again? Yes! Yes! I hope to return to SeaView and most certainly catch up with Lorrie on her Latin Lifestyle.
“A Wonderful Experience!!!”
The apartment Lorrie rented to me was fully furnished and private. It was very clean, accommodates 3-4 people comfortably and it was affordable. Lorrie was a wonderful hostess who was always accessible either in person or by cell phone. Lorrie went out of her way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The apartment has a beautiful view of the sea, which is only a 5 minute walk, from the living room area and patio just off the living room. It is also conveniently located ( a 5 to 10 minute walk) in the main shopping area of the Giardini Naxos. If you are interested in visiting other towns such as Taormina you are only a 5 minute walk form the bus stop and a 20 minute bus ride. If you are looking to vacation in Giardini Naxos I would definitely recommend renting from Lorrie.
“I can't wait to go back!”
We loved our stay. The apartment is modern with all the amenities needed to be comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware etc. but who wants to cook when the restaurants are so amazing? The deck is beautiful - a view of the water and a pure Sicilian neighborhood. It is a perfect spot for the first cup of espresso and the last glass of wine. I would recommend this apartment for 2-5 people. The furniture configurations give you a lot of options and the two rooms can be made comfortable for 2 couples or a family. Lorrie knows the area well and is able to make recommendations as well as help us less experienced travelers navigate the cultural differences. A transplanted American, she obviously loves the area and she took a genuine interest in making sure that we got the most out of our time in Sicily. Giardini Naxos is a tourist area so there are plenty of shops/restaurants (and most shopkeepers speak some English) but there is also a small town feel. There was a church festival on our last night in Giardini. The streets were hung with paper chains and garland, a children's band led the procession out of the church with the men carrying a statue of the patron saint on their shoulders. The parade was followed by fireworks, then families taking a walk along the waterfront eating gelato and pastries. It was an amazing night.
“The sea, sicily and giardini”
First of all the host was very welcoming and helpful as far as knowing all the special places to visit and places to eat. The apartment is centrally located, just a 5 minute walk to the sea and yet on very quiet street. the apartment was very comfortable and had everything necessary to make our stay like being at home; including a small equipped kitchen to a washing machine to swim towels. The apartment is bright and sunsets are just wonderful especially from the spacious balcony with a view of the sea it was truly a treat.
SeaView is just that---a picturesque view of the cerulean blue Mediterranean, the large, comfortable terrace overlooking colorful beach umbrellas and an occasional cruise ship or sailboat passing by. A perfect twilight is to relax on the terrace in the gentle sea breeze, enjoy fresh pasta from a nearby eatery, fresh fruits and veggies from a local vendor and a bottle of Nero D'Avola or other locally-produced wine. SeaView is conveniently located for the traveler's needs--within walking distance are two bus stops, restaurants (fresh seafood a specialty), grocery stores, bank/ATM, post office, churches, gelato, gift shops and other specialized boutiques. The beach is just a block away and is known to be one of the best beach areas on the entire island. There are ample opportunities for exploring ancient ruins and intricate architecture of past conquerors. Mt. Etna takes a commanding presence in the background; and that, along with the Alcantara River gorge, make a nice day trip. The more well-known town of Taormina is a short bus ride up switchbacks with magnificent coastal views, and it is famous for high-end boutiques and the teatro greco. The accommodations at SeaView are delightful, the crisp marigold and nautical-blue color scheme is decidedly Mediterranean. The sleeping area is comfortable and well-positioned, and the kitchen does not lack for anything. The bright, cheerful bathroom is flooded with natural light and has a lovely view of a garden behind, with roses, lemon trees and palms. The weather is generally mild and sunny and every day is a good day to explore. Convenient location! Perfect Vacation!
