“Perfect pembrokeshire cottage.”
The welcome from Jan and Rob couldn't have been better. Cottage was spotless and had been cleaned to a very high standard. Welshcakes, wine, milk and fresh flowers in cottage ready for us, and even a BBQ was provided for our use as the sun came out! Cottage very tastefully decorated and thoughtfully appointed-was a home from home had everything we needed. Stunning location just 5-10min walk from coastal footpath and beach, and spectacular views towards coast and over St Davids. Added bonus-dog friendly. Already looking forward to our return visit.
“A feeling of inner peace and tranquility, totally relaxed and re”
This is our 4th visit to these cottages in St. Davids, Pembrokshire and we see something different every time. The scenery is breathtaking, the location is in a peaceful and tranquil setting where you can be at one with nature. The town of St. David's is only approximately one mile from the cottage where there is a good choice of places to eat. You can choose to have bar snacks or eat in a restaurant and the quality of food in both is good although some are better than others!! The owners Mr.Mrs. Eliott are extremely friendly and helpful. When you first arrive at the cottage you are greeted with a vase of flowers, some home baked welsh cakes in a tin and a bottle of wine, wonderful!!
“Perfect house and garden in idyllic location near St Davids.”
Warm welcome with complimentary bottle of wine, milk in the fridge and homemade Welsh cakes awaiting our arrival. Woodburner gets the house warm in no time on cooler days. Garden perfect for sitting out or eating in when the sun is out. Ample hot water for showers when returning from watersports. Footpath on the doorstep leads to the beach and coastal path - perfect for dogs. Games room ideal for keeping teenagers occupied if it rains. Bikes in good condition and excellent for exploring the local area and visiting St Davids without using a car. Local hopper bus service from Porthclais very convenient to use either to get to Whitesands,St Davids or St Justinians where the car parks can get busy.
“Fantastic Weekend Break”
We have just returned from a long weekend break with my elderly parents at Porthllisky Farm Cottages near St Davids in Pembrokeshire and were delighted with our choice of accommodation despite some gloomy weather during our stay! Jan Eliott (owner) was extremely helpful with information prior to our arrival and could not have been more welcoming during our stay. Our cottage was warm, cosy and comfortable providing us with a wonderful base from which to explore and somewhere that we also loved to spend our evenings. The location is beautiful - quiet and peaceful but close to the coast path and also to St Davids which is delightful. We can't wait to visit again. Many thanks Jan
“Stunning cottage in superb location”
A very friendly voice greeted me on the end of the phone when I phoned to the book the cottage and Jan very amenable to allowing us a short stay for the weekend. Cottages very easy to find and superbly located within easy reach of St. Davids. The cottages sympathetically restored to a very high standard with many origial features retained. The cottage was clean on arrival and the gifts of milk, welsh cakes, wine and flowers very welcoming. A quick hello to check we had all we needed from Rob on our arrival was much appreciated. The layout of the cottage was well thought out and we all fell in love with 'the bridge'. All rooms in the cottage were furnished beautifully and the log burner very homely. The kitchen was equipped with all utensils and equipment you could wish for - even a dishwasher! A welcome folder included reviews of local pubs and restaurants along with maps of nearby walks and places of interest. All cottages arranged in original cute courtyard with plenty enclosed spaces for children to play safely. A communal games room was full to bursting with board games, books, pool table and table football-plenty to keep whole family entertained on wet days. Also on offer from the cottages were kayaks to borrow to be used on the cottages private bay/beach. We were all astounded by the beauty of the beach within walking distance of the cottage - access to which very safe for children away from roads and traffic. An altogether fabulous weekend in a fantastic cottage with very friendly people. We hope this is the first of many stays at Porthllisky farm cottages as we will definately be returning and have already recommended the cottages to friends and family.
“A high quality relaxing, refreshing and peacful break.”
This was great quality accommodation in a remote, quiet location with direct access to the stunning Penbrookshire coastal path. Perfect base for walking and relaxing. St David's is a short drive or a gentle stroll with a hidden sheltered local beach. The traditional yet modern accommodation is excellent, well equiped, brilliantly stocked, comfortable and cosy. The owners were extremly helpful and friendly. Great shared games room and washing / drying facilities. Oh yes and the great wood burner...
“Couldn't have been more perfect”
A totally stunning location, coupled with the most fabulous cottage - we couldn't have been happier with our holiday this Easter. Having been welcomed with wine and Welsh Cakes on our arrival, we enjoyed exploring the coastal path, being followed one evening by a seal on his way through the bay. The children loved the games room, the patio and garden area of Ty Siencyn was lovely, and we look forward to a warmer visit next time so that we can use it! I have recommended this already and will continue to do so. Thank you, Jan for a warm welcome and for a beautiful holiday.
“A luxury break in the Pembrokeshire countryside which provided a”
A fantastic cottage in a perfect location. Ty Siencyn was a perfect choice. A spacious, comfortable and warm home with everything you need for a family holiday. Tastefully decorated with simple but luxurious furnishings and all modern features/appliances. Ideally located for exploring St Davids and positioned right on the Pembrokeshire coastal path. This makes it a fantastic spot for those planning walking holidays or families wishing to be close to the sea; with a small beach only a few minutes walk from the front door. It was great to be in the countryside and only a short drive from Whitesands beach and St Davids. After busy mornings walking the coastal paths or exploring the local area it was great to relax and unwind in the cottage. Located on a working farm made the break even more exciting for our 20 month old. From our initial enquiry and contact after our departure the service we received was five star. The owners were very welcoming, always happy to answer our questions and help in anyway. They helped make our stay a thoroughly enjoyable experience; providing all the necessary for our daughter (cot, highchair, stairgate, bedding and towels) without any problem. I will definietly be recommending this holiday spot and cottage to all my friends and family.
“Beautiful cottage, fantastic location, couldn't have asked for a”
We had a fantastic weeks holiday with our two sons (13 & 11) in august. Beautiful accommodation exactly as described, amazing location just a stones throw away from the costal path and also a short walk to a fabulous rock pooling beach which completely captured us at low tide. Whitesands Bay offered hours and hours of body boarding entertainment ensuring satisfied boys, hence hugely satisfied parents! We took a boat trip around Ramsey Island which we would definitely recommend and departed from St Justinian's life boat station, a treasure in itself. St Davids felt so comfortable and offered plenty of choice for eating out but we also thoroughly enjoyed kebabs from the local butcher for BBQ on the patio at the cottage. All in all a totally fab holiday rounded off with a 5* cottage to retire to at the end of the day. Couldn't have wished for anything more.
“The perfect location for a family reunion”
A nephew was getting married and we wanted to spend a week catching up with family members who live far and wide and only see each other infrequently. We couldn't have found a better spot. We took over all four cottages and had the most wonderful week exploring the coastal path which is a few minutes away, kayaking in the little local bay (all equipment was provided free)and cycling (again bikes enough for us all were provided). St David's was a lovely little city with great cafes, restaurants and galleries. We found the cottages to be beautifully refurbished with lovely comfortable beds and every care taken to make our stay enjoyable. Jan had even provided Welsh cakes, wine, lovely flowers and start up coffee, tea and milk. How thoughtful! The weather was fine throughout the week so we spent the days outdoors appreciating the fantastic scenery in this part of Wales. The sea was blue, the wild flowers were in full bloom and spectacular. The evenings were spent in the games room where there were enough activities for us all and some great competition on the table tennis and pool tables. All in all this was a superb holiday - we were three generations and it suited us all perfectly. We can't wait to go back next year.
