Description

This charming, comfortable, welcoming and convenient studio is ideal for someone wanting to experience life in Paris as Parisians do. (It his not strictly in Montmartre, being across avenue de St Ouen from the 18th arrondissement, in the Batignolles Monceau area, for which Flipkey does not have a category.) It is away from the heavily touristed areas, in a lively and interesting neighbourhood, with a traditional Paris feel. It is within easy reach of the attractions of the Right Bank - the Louvre, Opera Garnier, Champs Elysees, Montmartre. The Left Bank is within easy reach by public transport.

The gated, calm cobblestone courtyard is an historic closed off street, with a garden and apartment buildings from different periods.  My apartment, a onetime sculptor’s studio, is in an old building, which has had various incarnations.  I have provided it with modern conveniences - combo microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, washing machine, internet connection, TV, CD player.  The separate sleeping area has a full sized bed, and the living area has a full sized sofa bed. The apartment easily accommodates 3 people (or up to 4, with young children).    

 It is very convenient to transport, for easy access to all parts of Paris - the Metro and bus stops are within a minute's walk. I will provide a guide for the best routes to places of interest in Paris, whether you seek the fastest, most scenic, or most convenient route. It is in an increasingly vibrant area, with new restaurants, shops and galleries. It is convenient to shopping - markets, supermarkets, boulangeries, chocolateries, delicatessens, restaurants, cafes, butchers, cheese and fish mongers - traditional benefits of Paris life. There are numbers of parks, most with specific areas for children, nearby.

The apartment is located between Montmartre and the Batignolles, an area where the Impressionists, Édouard Manet and his friends, and the Post-Impressionists worked and had studios.

It is furnished with an eclectic mixture of art, artifacts and furniture from here and there. One feels at home there.

Previous tenants have referred to it as 'a jewel' and 'a magic place'.

“Solo Paris bday getaway”

Paris was beautiful. The apartment was a little home away from home. Just enough space to be alone and still feel connected. I loved the courtyard. The cafes and all the multi cultural food selections just a few steps away. I had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable shower was great and I never turned the TV on because the real Life happening all around me was a better show. The neighbors and shop keepers were all friendly The apartment instructions were thorough and I enjoyed the cozy warmth everyday I was glad I chose this place I felt like I was apart paris not visiting. I walked so many places because the location made it easy but if I chose a car Uber never had an issue picking me up or dropping off. Btw Uber is cheaper than the taxis. My ride ftom CDG airport was 53$ Taxi , my ride back was 35$ with Uber. All in all the place was great I think It’s my new paris apartment.

Cannot beat location and price. Right at La Fourche metro and Place de Clichy. Montmartre and Sacre Cour short walk. Is an efficiency built to live in. Fabulous bakery next door. Enjoy. I did.
