Description

Situated in the heart of the medieval village in a tranquil square is our latest renovation the "Coeur du Village", a two bedroomed house. It is a five minute walk from the Bastide. Guests who stay at the Coeur du Village will be able to use the pool and other facilities at the Bastide des Launes including the BBQ and eating area by the pool. It is possible to change in the poolhouse before and/or after swimming. Towels are provided both for the pool and the house. It is suitable for a couple, a couple with a child over the age of 10 or three adults.

The property is probably 1000 years old and has been extensively modernised, the final touches being put to the house in the summer of 2009. We have tried to retain much of its character, whilst putting in modern facilities. The house has electric radiators and a wood burning stove. It is one of a complex of houses, the front door opens directly onto the Place du Coustias. Downstairs there is a fitted kitchen/ dining room and a comfortable lounge. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, both with en suite facilities. There is parking space in the Place, but no garden to this property. As we have installed new parquet flooring in thia property we regret that dogs are not allowed. They are very welcome at the Truffle and Stable Gites.

The kitchen/ dining room is a fitted kitchen with a modern electric hob and oven, with cooker hood, fridge, dishwasher and sink. There is an extending dining table and chairs in matching material to the kitchen cupboards. As there is no washing machine at this property people are welcome to use the washing machines in the utility room of the Bastide, and its large washing line. The stairs to the first floor go off from this room.

From the kitchen/ dining room you pass into a short passage, off which is a small store room, then you enter the lounge. There is a comfortable leather L shaped seating and matching armchair, plus television (UK & French Satellite) and DVD & CD players. A wood burning stove supplies heating to this room.

At the top of the stairs is a small landing, leading to both bedrooms. Bedroom one has a king sized bed, wardrobe and chair. The en-suite to this room consists of a bath, toilet and washbasin. Bedroom 2 has a single bed, wardrobe, desk and chair. The en-suite to this room consists of a shower, toilet and wash basin.

We live full time at the Bastide des Launes so are always available to help with any questions you may have or advice on what to do in the area. On arrival we will take you up to the Coeur du Village and show you around. We provide a welcome pack in the Coeur du Village enough for a simple meal.

The Coeur du Village is suitable for a couple and one adult or child over the age of 10 years. We have installed new parquet flooring in the property and for this reason dogs or cats are not allowed. They are very welcome at the Truffle or Stable Gites.
