Description

Stancia Cicada is a restored stone-walled farmhouse from cca year 1920, surrounded by 20.000 m2 free land and situated in a small quiet hamlet called Cubani. The hamlet is about 6 km south of Zminj, in hilly countryside, 30km away from Pula with airport and Roman ruins and Briuni Islands, 25km away from Rovinj, one of the most popular picturesque towns of the Mediterranean, and less then an hour away from most beautiful sites of Istria.

Stancia Cicada, has accommodations in 4 bedroom units, each with own bathroom, and having its own character.

A1 is a spacious room which easily accommodates 3 single beds (2+1), and gives a view of the meadows.

A2 is a charming open attic with up to 4 beds.

B1 is anther quiet apartment-like space with up to 3 beds, has a bathroom with a tub, and open cathedral ceiling with exposed beams.

D1 is located in the cottage adjoining the main building, has open beams ceiling, up to 3 beds, and opens onto the main terrace.

Number of bed arrangement, such as 2 rather than 3, can be adjusted to guests' needs.

All guests can share a spacious lounge with TV, next to the spacious eat-in kitchen of traditional style which is called konoba ( referring to traditional cellar space). Konoba has a wood-burning fireplace, suitable for cooking/barbeque, complementing one outdoor barbeque and a stone furnace.

The guests are welcome to prepare their own meals, breakfast in particular, as per mutual agreement and understanding. Restaurants are reachable by car in a short time.

The outdoors provides two terraces, garden, and ample space for privacy and walks, and an open swimming pool is on an elevated meadow with open views.

Parking is free, in the lot across the road.

The neighboring villages are pristine, one nearby has an attractive cave to visit, the village of Cere has a convenience food store, and towns of Zminj and Svet Vincenat (cca 6km) have most supplies and restaurants.

The neighbors in the hamlet are a three generation family, very friendly and may provide some home grown vegetables and food and beverage.

While our guests are enjoying the property in privacy, our guest assistant, accessible by phone, will be available for support.
