“It was an incredibly comfortable space for me and my 2 friends”
The living room was so cute and a great place to unwind and plan for our next day. The separate WC made it much easier to get ready each day. There were great closets in the master bedroom, but no storage space in the 2nd bedroom.
“Great location, everything was as advertised and it all worked”
Great location, it felt like a typical Parisian apartment on a typical Parisian street but very convenient to many tourist sites, the subway and great shopping and dining were all around us. The apartment was quiet, clean, modern and with all the conveniences.
Planned a last minute trip with girlfriends and couldn't be more pleased. The apartment was tastefully decorated and very cozy. The beds were heavenly, we all slept peacefully. The neighborhood was very safe and very convenient to everything. We loved it so much we booked an extra night! I would definitely return to this little haven in Paris!
“Perfect unless there is a heat wave”
We loved everything about this apartment except for the 2 blisteringly hot nights before a cold front passed through. The location is great ... near Notre Dame, the river, and St. Chapelle. Metro stop is near. Lots of restaurant choices and a small grocery store nearby. We felt safe as there are 2 levels of security before getting to our door. This was sooo much better than staying in a hotel full of tourists!
“Fantastic base for an adventure in Paris”
We stayed at 157 Chez St Croix for 2 weeks. We usually stay in a hotel when we visit, but since we were travelling with an infant, we decided an apartment would give us the additional space we needed. The apartment was in a great location, very close to the Hotel de Ville metro stop on the main line that runs through the centre of the city. It is also within walking distance of many great sights (although we like to walk and many sights are around 30 mins away). The Marais itself is full of great cafes and shops, and, if you want a taste of home, Starbucks is around the corner. The apartment was quiet and clean. The bedrooms are small with very little storage space (pretty typical of Paris apartments). We couldn't fit the crib into the bedroom, so they baby slept in the bed with me every night. The washer is great; the dryer is completely useless (like most French dryers that I've used). You are better off to hang things to dry than to deal with the frustration of using the dryer and having to hang things afterwards. Service from Vacation in Paris was efficient and helpful. It was great to arrive with the keys and go directly to the apartment. Note - the directions on finding the right apartment could be improved. Everything was in order so we didn't have reason to contact the local manager. Having a phone and Internet access in the apartment was very useful; we didn't use the cellphone. All in all, this is a great apartment in a great location. We would definitely rent it again. However we would not rent it in the peak of summer as there is no air conditioning.
“Chez Sainte Croix - good choice”
We used Vacation in Paris for the first time - would definetly use them again. They delivered everything as they stated, they followed up, and I had no questions or issues with their service. The apartment is very clean, and was perfect for our family of four. Other than only having the one bathroom (one room has the shower/sink and another has toilet, small sink)the size was perfect for our stay. The apartment is in a safe neighborhood, and requires entry into two secured doors to get to the apartment. The building itself is exceptionally quiet. The neighborhood was ok - the location is very good if you're looking for the metro, as you're near two lines. Though the neighborhood felt very safe, it didn't have the same ambiance other neighborhoods had, at least for us. Picking a location in Paris is overwhelming, and each location has its good and bad. I didn't regret this location, but just saw other arrondesments that were more of what my family would have enjoyed. We loved the beds - excellent nights sleep.
“Home from Home”
We arrived in Paris with the instructions and map you forwarded to us therefore we had no problem in finding the apartment. The apartment was excellent, very well located, very clean and very well equipped and comfortable. When I return to Paris this is where I will stay and will be recommending to friends. One recommendation I would make would be a storage facility for luggage on the day of departure, I know by arrangement it can be stored in the apartment until 12 noon, as our flight was not leaving until 10pm this was not any good to us.
Great apartment, quiet, central location - near Metro, Notre Dame, and many other sights, well furnished and equipped (only things that could be improved would be to add a couple more small tables and better written instructions for the appliances, but these were not major problems). Owner was very helpful. Rental process very smooth. Well supplied with guidebooks, maps, etc. We would definitely stay there again.
Very nice place in a good location. The bakery nextdoor was convenient and tastey. It was simple to find from the metro Hotel de'ville. We rolled our bags to the appartment, no problem. The place was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.
“The only way to travel”
This is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in the Marais district of Paris. It is an easy walk to Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter, and close to the Metro. A good grocer, butcher and cheese shop are a couple blocks north. The bakery two doors away was one of the highlights, providing us with fresh croissants each morning and desserts after a long day exploring. The apartment is nicely decorated and was large enough for 2 parents and 3 grown children. We would have liked a few more cooking utensils but valued the opportunity to make our own meals.Information booklets were helpful in planning our itineraries. There is a laundromat down the street if, like us, you cannot work the dryer! We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Paris.
