“Excellent value for the price”
My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a week in June, 2012. The apartment was very clean. The "welcome" bottle of wine was waiting for us on the kitchen table. We really loved the quiet serenity of this apartment as compared to other apartments we've rented in Paris. The location was ideal. It was a 10 minute walk to the metro. The Eiffel Tower was only a 7 minute stroll away. The bus stop was just down the street. There was a bakery about 50 steps away as well as a Franprix for groceries. For more groceries, right next to the metro stop was a Carrefour's as well as an aTM and post office. Rue Cler, a short 2 block walk away, had a couple of ice cream stores, a wonderful chocolate store, many restaurants, green grocers, a phone shop, cheese shop, wine shop, etc. What we liked best was that the apartment was so comfortable It was easy to prepare meals and we felt very safe.
“We felt like a real Parisiens”
The Eiffel Hideway is in my favourite part of Paris , the 7th arrondisement. It is easy to get to anywhere you want to go from here. Plenty of great shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Walking distance to Rue Cler and the Eiffel Tour of course. The area is safe both day and night. The apartment is very comfortable and roomy for 2 people and it has everything one could need. Passage de l'Union was very quiet while we were there and secluded. You feel like you are living everyday life just like the Parisiens, it's not a touristy area. It's not modern or swish but it has a very traditional French feel and is very clean. We liked it very much. The service through Vacation in Paris was fantastic, they were very helpful and efficient. It was great to be able to access the apartment with our own key as soon as we arrived.
“Perfect location, amazing value”
My boyfriend and I and my father and his girlfriend stayed at this gem. It was a little hard to find but the taxi cab driver figured it out with his GPS. The apartment is on a non-car street which made it quiet. It is 2 blocks from Rue Cler, a pedestrian street with charm. It is about a a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel tower and a 10 minute walk to the Ecole Militaire Metro stop. The furnishings were simple but adequate. The space was small but adequate. The last time I stayed in Paris we stayed in a Novotel place at the end of the line. Being more centrally located for this price was amazing, especially with the price being split between the 4 of us.
“Well worth the experience. Would do it again.”
Very nice 1 bedroom arrangement, just around the corner from two important things: close to neighborhood shopping for restaurants, grocery stores and patisseries; and the an all important metro stop. The shop keepers were very friendly and very helpful, much more so than my last Paris visit in 1996. They have really increased their use of English. We stayed for two weeks and the shop keepers came to know us and after one week - we felt like we had been living there for a much longer time. Having the kitchen helped to curtail eating out for all three meals, as after a big lunch, we just wanted munchies for dinner. We just loved the experience, and will try to do it again in about 3 years.
“Fabulous apartment near Rue Cler”
We had a great stay using your apartment! The location could not be better. I have used VIP before and will certainly do so again!
“Great apartment for young children”
A good location near a market street and playground, restaurants and bakeries. We were travelling with children aged 2 and 4, and the apartment was quiet, clean and pleasant. Easy access to Metro, RER train (we went to Paris Disneyland one day), the Louvre.
We loved the appartment. We stayed there for one week. It is quiet, well situated, close to everything. Appartment rental is the way to go when one goes to Paris. There was a least 30 guide books, maps, magazines about the city in the appartment, lots of dishes, towels ect. It was very nice to come back "home" after a day of museums and shopping.
“Central, quiet location”
Our family of five stayed here for four or five nights, arriving by plane and then taxi. The rooms enabled my husband and I to sleep separately from the children, with the younger children in the twin beds and the older one on the sofa-bed. In this location, we could get a good night's sleep and bring in fresh cool air from the windows on both courtyard and street sides of the apartment (it was summer, and the apartment was not air-conditioned as far as we could tell). We could walk and quickly arrive at the Louvre for a visit or to use the metro station there. In the evening, my husband and I could have a good meal out together just a block away from the apartment while our older child babysat the younger ones. So, the central location was really great. The kitchen and bath facilities were adequate for our needs (e.g., simple breakfast and dinner) and clean. We only had to go up one flight of stairs. The security system seemed new and very good, although the door-locks to the apartment itself could use some updating. We liked the ease and reliability of the rental service (payments, keys, etc) and the quiet and central location. We feel that the single most important update is to add Wi-Fi for smart-phone and laptop users.
“Close to everything, cozy, comfortable and a good value.”
We felt very comfortable in our apartment for our first trip to Paris. The atmosphere was very Parisienne! Our most important tip would be to familiarize yourself with the Metro as it provides quick and easy access to any location in the city. A great time was had by all!
“Wanna go back!!!”
LOVED this flat. While it's small, it has everything you need. The location is great. Takes no time to walk to the open market. Great upscale shops - nice area. I was with my 70+ mother and she felt very safe. To the owner: A working radio would be nice, and maybe a DVD player not a VHS. However, we did not spend that much time awake in the flat! Warning: there is no number on the door of the building. We asked the nice man at the electronic shop next door and he helped. I would reccomend this without any hesitation. Did I mention we LOVED it!!
