River view is located in the heart of the Highlands situated in the Cairngorm National Park in Dalwhinnie.The house has an open plan layout.Spacious living space from the kitchen to dining room and lounge area with double height fireplace and wood burning stove.The large oak dining table comfortably seats 8 people.
Outside there is a large grassed garden with covered area for barbeque and socialising outdoors in all weather.There is a feeling of space with fine views in every direction.
River View is ideal for those wanting to relax and enjoy the local attractions such as low and high level walking, golfing in Newtonmore 10 miles,Kingussie 13 miles and Spey Valley in Aviemore 25 miles North on the A9.Mountain Biking including the Wolftrax Mountain Bike Track 8 miles.Horse riding from Newtonmore Riding Centre.Bird watching,fishing,Skiing and Snowboarding on Cairngorm Mountain.Distillery tours with our own Dalwhinnie Distillery in view from the house 800 metres walk away so feel free to have a dram or two knowing you have a pleasant stroll back !
Lots to do and a great place to explore from as Dalwhinnie is well located to travel North on A9,South on A9 towards Blair Atholl 20 mins by car or West towards Laggan,Fort William 1 hour by car. Train station 10 minutes walk away so relax and visit north or south comfortably.

“Great Birthday Getaway”
We booked a lovely birthday getaway at River View House, it's a beautiful open plan house that offered everything our two families wanted. It's well situated in Dalwhinnie, just a short driver from lots of places of interest, in our case, snow covered hills!

“Perfect getaway”
The cottage was just perfect for my family and the dogs ,plenty of room,we all had a very relaxing time in Dalwhinnie ,would visit again for a longer stay.

“Brilliant!”
What can I say other than what a brilliant time we all had. The cottage is beautiful and so cosy. Everything was so clean. The scenery is breathtaking! The weather was just what we had wished for. My grandchildren and all 3 dogs had just the best time. The dogs just loved the log fire. As did we all, The owner Steve gets back to you so promptly. I would definitely go back again, We had a lovely Christmas ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

“Fantastic Break”
We stayed here with our friends for a weekend break to catch up and climb a few of the munros in the area. The accommodation was perfect; warm, cosy and lovely and clean. The big open fire to come back to after walking all day in the snow was amazing. A fantastic place to stay and will definitely be staying here again when we go exploring the munros to the west!
