“Just an OK rating.”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2015

Humidity was awful, and room was very hot even with a breeze as there was no air conditioning, which was a surprise as I missed the fine print regarding that when I booked the room. Wanted to put away our folded clothing in dresser drawers, but they all smelled so bad that you wouldn't dare unless you wanted your clothing to smell the same. If you are going to stay on anything but the ground floor, do not plan on having an elevator as there is none. Lower bedroom closet door was not working, bolt lock on entrance door to room was very loose. They did come in and fix those items after we called and reported them, but one could reasonably expect that these would be taken care of before arrival so that you are not disturbed with people working in your room when you are there vacationing. If you are a smoker, be advised the smoking area they provide is not sheltered from sun or rain, so obviously you are considered anything but important as a customer, and I am very tired of that attitude. You will happily take my money, but you will not give me any real consideration in spite of that. Taking all these factors into consideration, I would not be inclined to rent this facility again in the future.

“Breezy condo with wonderful ocean views and sounds !”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2015

We really appreciated our stay in this clean condo, on the last floor, equipped with everything we needed, with so great views over pool and ocean. We were just a bit disappointed about the night-time/very early morning noise in the second bedroom overlooking stairs, hallway to other units (some people seem to don't know much about a little discretion) and, further, the main road.

“A favorite location”

Kappa Shores is a great location. The condo looks over the pool and with a great view of the ocean. Clean and well kept unit. We will stay here again.

“Awesome location, nicely upkept unit and grounds”

Reviewed 2 May 2014

We stayed here april 2014, we loved the nice central location and the proximity to the bike path. The pool, hot tub and grounds were well kept and it was sure nice to see the ocean from the room as well as the pool and barbeque areas. The unit was well stocked and very nicely updated. The king size bed was very comfortable. Had trouble getting the Wifi to work, but Garden Island Properties promptly helped us get connected! We would stay here again if we came back!

“Another great stay at Kapaa Shore #118”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2014

This was our second time staying in #118 at Kapaa Shore resort. We absolutely loved it. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that there are no BBQ utensils in the kitchen. We did buy some last year and left them there. But other than that we love #118.

“Perfect spot in Kauai!”

Reviewed 12 Feb 2014

We stayed in Suite 118 for a week and found Kapaa Shores well situated on the island allowing us to go north or south easily to explore different areas. The suite is well equipped in the kitchen and the king bed was comfy. Checkin was quick and easy and the facilities were all good, used the hot tub and pool a few times, they were cleaned every morning. Enjoyed the aTV tour, surfing and be sure to try the Calamari at The Eastside restaurant up the street. A great bike path starts at Kapaa Shores and goes along the coast, takes you to several beaches, nice way to spend a few hours on a sunny day! I look forward to returning to Kauai in the future.

“Fantastic!!!”

Reviewed 31 Jan 2014

My mom and I stayed at 118 between Jan 19-26, 2014. Sue was so helpful in contacting me to get everything organized for our holiday and that went super smooth. Our place was so nice, it was very modern and clean. I was told that it was just redone and it looked like it. Our place had everything we needed the bed was super comfy and the pull out couch was comfortable too. It was on the main level which made it nice to get in and out and quick access to the the pool. The staff were so nice and they were always keeping the complex clean and tidy. Kapaa Shores has a great location kinda mid point between the north and south shores which made it easy to check everything out plus a pool and laundry services - just that extra that makes life a bit easier :). The town of Kapaa has everything you need and a great biking path that goes for miles. We had to try Shrimp Station which I have to say has the best coconut shrimp around. It is just north of where we stayed. We would definately stay here again. It was perfect. A great home away from home. Mahalo

“Great Customer Service”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2014

We have stayed at this unit managed by Garden Island Properties. Greg and Sue do a terrific job in responding to customer needs. The unit is comfortable and we like the feel of a "smaller" resort vs. some of the larger resorts on the island.

“Kapaa paradise”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2013

We really enjoyed our stay! Quaint and close to shops many things to do near by. We met so many nice travelers. There were three of us staying in unit #118. All was very comfortable. I would say me being the third person, I wish I would have had someplace to put my belongings like a small closet in the front room. Setting that aside, we loved it!!!

“What a Jewel!!”

The Esquivels' have been repeat travelers to Kapaa Shores for years and the hospitality never ends!!! The staff from the office to the grounds crew (Thank you Stanley Souza for the extra care and assistance!)... are truly the very best with the aloha hospitality!!! Sue Maruyama-Strickland was so patient and so helpful, she can never be replaced! Thank you Sue!!! The room was nothing short of spectacular! The grounds clean and so very beautiful!! We will be back next year! :)
