I highly recommend this condo. The location can't be beat--great views and it's on the plaza near the shops and restaurants, but not noisy at night. Close to the (free) gondola's, also. The condo was very clean and had everything we could need and more! Nicely furnished...they even provide soaps, lotion, and shampoo. Plenty of towels. Brian Horton with Elevation Vacations was so helpful and kind. He was very accommodating, as well as prompt with replies to my questions before our stay.
In the middle of Mountain Village, a big plus. No great views and a little noisy there, but am told all the condos in the village suffer the same and some are worse. This unit also suffers deferred maintenance. It was hot when we were there and most of the window mechanisms were broken. Management, finally after two calls, came with some string so we could close the window. Push to open Just one example. No laundry detergent. Not a biggie but for the price, would have been nice. Overall not bad but you can find better but you'll never pay more.
“attractive and clean”
windows don't work correctly, hard to close, parking was a good walk from the condo...not bad if you don't have a lot of luggage & groceries. All in all, we were very pleased with this condo, clean & attractive.
When was this place really cleaned? We are not fussy or picky people by any means, but this unit really showed a lot of neglect. Spider webs in every room with the live spiders to go along with them. One window in the master bedroom was broken completely out of the frame, two doors would not close properly. Be sure and ask about parking. It was not divulged until the day prior to our arrival that the only parking for this unit is about 2 blocks away and costs $20 a day! Le Chamonix Unit a gets a big F.
Response from the manager Hi JC, We are sorry to hear about your negative experience at Chamonix A. This is very unusual, as all of our other guests here have left glowing reviews on Flipkey. As a full service management company we are on call 24/7 and would have taken care of any housekeeping issue within the hour if we had known. There is also free parking with this unit located right below the village core. Next time, just swing by the office, only 100 yards from the property or give us a call and we will take care of you right away!
I was pleasantly surprised. The property has been totally renovated, and is beautiful (much nicer than the pictures posted on the web)! The location is perfect, close to the Gondola, and restaurants, yet so quiet and peaceful. I would stay again in this property for sure. One note: there wasn't a DVD player.
“Great Time in Telluride”
We had been told when booking that the unit was being remodeled. Boy was it! The unit far exceeded our expectations for the price. Everything was done with class from the granite countertops to stainless appliances. The location is just steps from the gondola which makes for extreme ease when headed to town. Even with all of our festival gear. We look forward to being back in Telluride next year!!
“Nice place, not luxurious”
Nice unit with great location, but furnishings were hotel-like and there were maintenance issues: clogged toilet, burned out light bulbs, no maid service during five night stay.
“Great location, spacious room, bit outdated”
There were 6 Aussie boys stayed here for Telluride Mountain Film Festival. The accommodation was roomy, great location and all the amenities you could require. Hot tub was great (took us a little while to find it though). It was super easy to pick up the key and drop it off and they helped us out with parking etc. The only bad point was the appliances and decor were fairly old, but that didn't matter at all. Great place, great stay - thanks guys!
