Description
Perched alone atop a mountain on 4 private acres sits Mountain Vista Retreat. Surrounded by a sea of native mountain laurel, this completely home was completely renovated in 2014 and boasts 3 bedrooms & 3 baths. The spacious deck located at the back of the house allows for 180° views and an unobstructed sunset view.
The 1st master bedroom in the loft features a king bed, 39 inch Smart TV, ceiling fan and a private bath. The bath has his & hers sinks and a full sized tub/shower with subway tile surround and a floor of travertine marble. Through the french doors is a private veranda with a bistro set perfect for enjoying the sunset views with a champagne toast.
The lower level 2nd master bedroom has a king bed, 48 inch Smart TV, ceiling fan & a private bath. A door leading outside allows private entry (and exit!) to the back deck and hot tub.This en-suite bath features a a walk-in shower tiled with a glass accented carrara tile, dual vessel sinks, granite counter top and crystal chandeliers for a little added bling.
The bedroom on the main level has 2 twin beds that can be easily converted to a king bed. A sliding door leads to the back deck, hot tub and views, views and views!
The open concept great room combines the kitchen, dining and living areas making it the perfect spot for the family to gather.The kitchen features custom cabinetry and a quartz counter top, along with GE Slate appliances. Dinnerware, glassware, utensils, and pots & pans are provided for your use. Just a quick stop for provisions at one of the nearby grocery stores and you are ready to prepare a gourmet meal or burgers on the charcoal grill. A starter supply of coffee, creamer and sugar are on hand for you along with paper towels, hand towels and a fresh sponge. The large gas fireplace has a beautiful maple mantle cut & polished by a local sawmill. Comfortable, casual furnishings surround this one of a kind art piece with it's 55 inch Smart TV, mounted above it. A ceiling fan allows the cool mountain breezes to circulate through this room with its soaring 14' ceiling. However, it is the glorious mountain views that are the main focal point of Mountain Vista Retreat. Sliding doors from the living room lead to the 10' x 39' main deck. There is a charcoal grill & a glass top table with seating for 6. A chest provides storage for the cushions, allowing you comfortable seating for the nightly show!
Extending out from the main deck is an 8'x16' deck which hosts the brand new 6 person Dr.Wellness jetted hot tub. Whether a romantic getaway or a family reunion, the beautiful sunsets enjoyed from this spot will create lasting memories.
From the rocking chair front porch, which is the perfect place to sip a cup of coffee to greet the sun as it peeks over the tree-tops, to the back deck where you see the sun set behind the mountain tops, Mountain Vista Retreat is surrounded by nature! Towering tulip poplars, maples, pines, and oaks, in addition to the mountain laurels nestled beneath, provide coverage for the birds and wildlife that call this place home.
Conveniently located between Hendersonville and Chimney Rock, Mountain Vista Retreat is 12 miles from Lake Lure, 20 minutes from downtown Hendersonville and 35 minutes from Asheville. The Biltmore Estate, the area's number one attraction is only 35 minutes. Other major attractions close by include DuPont Forest State Park, the Carl Sanburg House, Chimney Rock Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are too many hiking trails and waterfalls to mention them all, along with many farm stands selling fresh locally grown produce ( during season). The area apple orchards are open from August through October and several of these are an easy 5-10 minute drive from Mountain Vista Retreat!
