“Perfect for family gatherings”
We had a wonderful time celebrating our parents 50th Anniversary. There were 20 of us and we had plenty of room for everyone. The beds were very comfortable. The lodge was clean and well equipped with everything. Great kitchen and living area. We would go back again.
“Beautiful, relaxing, quiet and comfortable!!”
Our youth group rented the Red Elk Lodge for our trip to Young Christians Weekend at Silver Dollar City. Our favorite parts of the home were the dining room table that seated all 20 of us, and the Great room which also provided seating and space to fit us all in for group games. The wrap around porch with beautiful cove views provided the perfect escape from the teens and a peaceful place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. Although the stove/oven is beautiful and holds old-time character, it is not ideal for cooking for large groups as the oven can only hold 1 9x13 pan at a time, but we found ways to cook in batches to accommodate our crowd. The distance to SDC is only 20-25 minutes so we found it perfect for our needs!!! We look forward to another stay!
“Perfect setting for leadership and team building experience.”
Our church core leadership team needed a place to spend some quality time together to work on some of the "big picture" issues that come up with any organization. The lodge provided plenty of room for big ideas. The facility was stunning and with a recent snow, the scenery around the Lake Taneycomo location looked like something from a picture post card. Amenities were exceptional, and the beds were amazing. If you are looking for a memorable event location, do yourself a favor and book this place. Working with Michael Schmitz, who handled the logistics was flawless. His professionalism and follow up was outstanding. Mike, Volunteer leader for a Wichita Kansas area church.
“A great, quiet, getaway for folks that need to get away for a bi”
This was a great place for 4 very busy couples to get away from it all. The house is very spacious and each of us had a very comfortable room with very comfortable king sized beds. The kitchen is well appointed and the great room is large enough to have several conversations going at once with no overlap. The house is way off the beaten path and some of surrounding properties detract somewhat from the lodge experience. However, you're still only 20 minutes from downtown Branson. Anytime I had a question I either called or emailed and received immediate answers. We all liked this house and will stay again.
“Great place to meet up with family.”
This was our 4th- and favorite- Vrbo experience. The Red Elk Lodge on Lake Taneycomo was the perfect spot for our 5 families to get together for a long weekend. This home was, by far, the most comfortable and best maintained of them all, with the most beautiful, well-equipped kitchen, right down to the wine opener, cake pans for our birthday celebration, and a crock pot. We all enjoyed marshmallows at the fire ring and dinner on the deck. We will definitely be back again!
“Great getaway for family!!”
We needed a house that was big enough for our 15 family members- we were celebrating our parents 50th anniversary over Thanksgiving. There was more than enough room. The bottom level was great for the kids!! The house is beautifully furnished, and had everything that we needed. Close to town and stores, but very secluded. We would definitely stay here again! My son accidentally left his new jacket at the house, and Michael was able to track it down and mail it to us!! We would love to come back in the summer when we could enjoy the water activities. Great time!!
“The Red Elk Lodge provided peaceful and spacious comfort nestled”
The Red Elk Lodge was the perfect place for our family gathering to celebrate an important birthday. We had 12 adults and 8 children with everyone having a comfortable place to sleep. The large, open living spaces, inside and out, gave us plenty of room to be together and enjoy both our company and the many comforts in the lodge. We could not have found a better place for the family, who came from Texas, Utah, Louisiana and Tennessee, to be together. It was clean, spacious and very well equipped.
“Family ReUnion 2013”
Our family arrived to find this beautiful lodge surrounded by woods with a short distance from a cove on taneycomo. I was so impressed with the amount of room there was for our family to gather for meals and social time. The bedrooms were very comfortable with king beds in each room. The deck was nice for those who enjoy coffee and a view. I would recommend this home for your next family getaway, you won't be disappointed. Joann
“Simple life in a modern home”
The lodge was clean, well maintained and a perfect distance to get away from the craziness of Branson. It may be too far out for some. We ended up there during a tornado warning and felt very safe. I hope to stay there again!
“Peaceful and close to action”
We used the Red Elk Lodge for a strategic planning session and it was perfect. It was far enough out of town that we could have our meetings on the deck and not be disturbed by traffic but was just a few minutes away from all that Branson has to offer. All the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. The early morning fog on the lake was beautiful. Can't wait to go back.
