Welcome to Kai Tana, formerly listed as Cool Change!

New homeowners have taken the best features of this beautiful oceanfront cottage and upgraded them for your comfort.

Surrounded by mature palms and casuarina trees on a half acre-sized lot, Kai Tana offers peaceful relaxation on a wide sandy beach with sophisticated accommodations for couples, honeymooners, and small families (up to 4 adults).

The beach is very sandy and reef-protected making for excellent snorkeling just steps off the house. Although barefoot water entry is tempting, water shoes are recommended! Sunset walks along the expansive beach in either direction are a must.

Inside, Kai Tana features an oceanfront living room with windows on three sides flooding the home with natural light and panoramic ocean views. The living room is open and airy allowing guests to "become one with the ocean" while providing all comforts and amenities.

The oceanfront patio provides comfortable lounges as well as al fresco dining. A palm-shaded hammock sits off the patio and is the perfect spot for daydreamers.

2) Silver Thatch tandem kayaks available for discounted rental. Signed waiver and 5-day minimum required with 6th and 7th day free: US$39 per day per kayak ($195 per week/each). Paddles included.

***Deposit & Payment Schedule***

-- For bookings made outside of 60 days prior to arrival, a 50% deposit (of rent only) is due in order to confirm your booking. The remaining 50% balance plus taxes and fees is due 60 days prior to arrival.

-- For arrivals within 60 days, the entire balance is due in order to confirm your booking.

***Villa Cleaning & Sanitation***

-- We're committed to the health and safety of all our guests and have adopted enhanced cleaning safeguards to suppress the spread of COVID-19. All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival using health agency-approved cleaners and disinfectants. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

-- Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival on-island.

***Cancellation Policy***

RELAXED CANCELLATION POLICY ON ALL BOOKINGS MADE AFTER MARCH 14, 2020.

1). Once guests signed rental contract is confirmed with 50% (of rent) deposit, should guest cancel in writing prior to 60 days of arrival, half of the initial deposit (25% of rent) will be refunded to the card on file, less a 3.50% processing/admin fee. Should villa owner be able to replace the reservation in whole or in part, the (prorated) un-refunded balance of the initial deposit will be returned less any re-booking costs incurred. Should the owner not be able to replace the reservation, the balance of the initial deposit is forfeited.

PANDEMIC/EPIDEMIC EXCEPTION: Should a declared Pandemic or Epidemic prevent reasonable travel options to the destination, the guest may cancel and the entire initial deposit will be refunded, less a processing/admin fee of 3.50%.

2). Once full payment has been made (or the 60-day mark has passed and the guest has not paid the balance), should guest cancel in writing, GCVC will refund any occupancy taxes, cleaning fees and refundable damage deposits to the card on file. The dates will be opened on the calendar for rebooking. Should the reservation be replaced in whole or part, the guest will receive up to 100% of monies paid less rebooking charges incurred. Should GCVC not be able to replace the reservation, rent and service fee will be forfeited; however, guest will receive a credit for 50% of rent paid to be used for a similar stay at the same property

All villa guests must check-in at our Silver Thatch Welcome Center located mid-island at 846 Frank Sound Road. Conveniently located en route to over 90% of our villas, we're the bright pink and white building on your right--you can't miss us! Our hospitality staff will be on hand to greet you and answer any questions about your villa, or the island in general. You'll also have the chance to check out your free snorkel gear, baby equipment, or other convenience items (e.g. Apple TVs, Bluetooth speakers, baby equipment and more). In addition, you'll receive our Silver Thatch member card for savings of up to 10% at select restaurants, charter operators, and water sports providers. Remember to stop by first en route to your villa!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
