Casa Cielo is private property sitting directly in front of beautiful Arenal Volcano and has all the services and amenities you would experience at a high end hotel. Rental fee includes daily breakfast at our private dining facility "Rositas" and basic daily housekeeping. We can provide Grocery Service, Private Spa Services, Laundry Service, Private Transportation, and can also plan all of your adventure tours and activities. Our local knowledge of the area takes all the guess work out of choosing the right tour to suit your needs. Casa Cielo is a 2 story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 large baths, a large downstairs gathering area with Smart TV (cable, Netflix), fully equipped kitchen, high speed internet / WiFi, and a large upstairs open air bar that has a fantastic view of Arenal Volcano. The downstairs gathering area and kitchen open up to a swimming pool and large covered patio bar where daily breakfasts are served. This outdoor living space is also equipped with a gas burning barbecue, outside shower and bathroom, and large sunning lounge. The pool is surrounded by tropical gardens and trees and our feeders attract various species of birds like toucans, parakeets and parrots. We are very family oriented and cater to individuals who want to be close to services and attractions but prefer to be out of the hustle and bustle of tourist towns. We are located in the rural countryside 8 Km north of La Fortuna which is located at the base of Arenal Volcano. You can drive to Arenal Volcano National Park and Lake Arenal within 30 minutes and The Springs Resort and Spa is about a 10 minute drive as well. Come enjoy our little slice of heaven and enjoy a stress free vacation you will never forget.

Getting around

A rental car is recommended. We do have a small grocery store located within walking distance and restaurant and bar next door at our neighbors location at Leaves and Lizards but driving is necessary if you want to explore and sample local cuisine in our small town of Monterrey or La Fortuna.

Interaction with guest

We interact with our guests daily. We do help most of our guests with tour planning so there is usually a fair amount of communication prior to arrival. Once our guests arrive, they can expect to see us every morning cleaning the pool and outside areas, as well as stocking the bird feeders around the property. During breakfast at our private dining facility "Rositas", we make sure our guests are prepared for the day by providing fresh hot Costa Rican coffee, a delicious breakfast, and printed out directions for their activities for the day. We take care of our guests and want to make their experience at Casa Cielo Volcano View Retreat as memorable as possible.
