Booking far in advance of more than two or three months will not be accepted as we use the cabin ourselves for family and friends and will not have scheduled for our own use as yet.

Centrally located and conveniently close to all the North Lake Tahoe and Donner Summit ski resorts of Sugar Bowl, Northstar, Squaw Valley, Boreal Ridge, Royal Gorge, Alpine Meadows, Soda Springs, Tahoe Donner and Donner Ski Ranch, for fabulous winter recreation.

The closest ski resorts are 10 minutes from the cabin.

There are thirteen ski resorts within a half hour drive.

You can Cross Country or Snow-Shoe in Donner State Park. Within walking distance from the cabin.

The place to stay for downhill skiing, riding, cross country skiing, ice skating, snow play, tobogganing, sledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.

Located at Donner Lake, Truckee, Ca. at 6,000 foot elevation in the Sierra Mountains. With a panorama view of Donner Lake and 8,500 foot mountains from the living room, dining room, kitchen and deck.

Conveniently close and centrally located to all the ski resorts of North Lake Tahoe.

You will need to provide your own sheets, pillow cases ( for the two queen beds and two twin bed) plus bath towels.

The chill is in the air, icicles outside growing from the roof, frost on the windows and the skis are in their racks. Sit around the fireplace, feel the warmth and take in the spectacular lake and mountain view after your skiing in the fresh outdoors. Watch the snowflakes layering like blankets on the pine branches and dozens of glacial boulders surrounding the house. ENJOY YOURSELVES

Since the cabin is our vacation home, we use it ourselves and do not make reservations that are far in advance, as our own plans may not have been made. Thank you for understanding.

Getting around

Use your car. OR A public bus runs in front of the house going from downtown Truckee to Sugar Bowl and back. A bus schedule is in the binder in the coffee table. Bus stops are nearby.

Interaction with guest

The keys and entering/leaving instructions will be mailed to renters. You will have total occupancy of the cabin. Owner is not present. There is a binder in the coffee table with suggestions of things to do, see, restaurants and activities.

House rules

.If rugs get stained , please make an effort to clean them.
Advise us if anything gets broken so that we can replace it for the next guests.
Barbeque gas off after each use gas.

The cleaning people will make an ADDITIONAL CHARGE to us (and in return we will charge you) if the beds are not remade as found on arrival, all garbage not removed from the home, all kitchen and barbecue items not cleaned and put away (dishes, utensils, pots and pans, glasses, cups) and food left in refrigerator.
