Description
The very light 36m2-apartment is situated in the historical district of Hernals, just between Josefstadt (10 min. walk away) and Brunnenmarkt or Yppenplatz (5 min.), both famous for their Cafés and night locals, and the latter also for its market.
The apartment, on the second floor (no lift), consists of a living-/sleepingroom (23m2), a hallway and kitchen, and a showerroom and wc, and the furniture - fitting to the year of construction of the house (1881) - is with some exceptions original art nouveau and old german style (altdeutsch). The apartment, in the daytime very light and at night very relaxing and pleasant, invites the guests to have a longer time indoors.
In the room there is a double bed (160x200). The kitchen disposes of a refrigerator, gas stove, an automatic coffee- and teamachine, a toaster and the appropriate dishes.
Wlan is available.
A few steps from the house there are 2 supermarkets (2 & 3 min.), 1 Bakery (2 min.), 1 Tobaccoshop (2 min.), 2 Cafés (2 min.), several fastfood facilities (2 min.). In 2 min. of walk away there are also underground and tram stations by which one is in the inner city within 7-8 min. (or in 20 min. of walk).
The host family lives on the third floor of the same house and speaks five languages: English, german, italian, spanish and turkish.

Some remarks to the cons: Ad Staircase: One needs to take exactly 48 steps (à 15cm) to reach the flat which is on the 2nd storey; Ad Noise: For a big city the flat is rather quiet since it is not on a main street; Ad Heat: Yes, now it is very hot in Vienna, and now there is a fan; Ad TV: Yes, there is no tv.
