Description

1st Floor Apartment only 200m from the beautiful beaches at Goodrington Sands. An idyllic spot looking out over the lovely parkland and nature reserve at Goodrington Park.

The beaches are the best in the area with long stretches of fine, yellow sand. There are plenty of activities for the family and a huge pub/restaurant right on the seafront. The kids can have fun in safety as the beach and park are protected on both sides by the impressive headlands. There are some wonderful walks interwoven with the Steam Railway which passes by the park several times a day offering pleasure trips to Kingswear and Dartmouth.

With a fully equipped leisure centre only 10 minutes walk the apartment has a wealth of opportunities for all the family whatever your holiday requirements.

There is a superb Golf course (Churston Golf Club) only 10 minutes drive towards Brixham with mini Golf nearby at Broadsands.

The accommodation itself is perfect for a small family holiday with a large open plan lounge kitchen and 2 quiet double bedrooms located at the rear of the property. The Master Bedroom has two large wardrobes with plenty of space for a long stay. Views over the rear garden. (Travel cot available too.)

The kitchen is fitted with modern and stylish units with integrated appliances including an electric oven and grill, gas hob, fridge, freezer and washing machine. The living room comes furnished with a grey/black contemporary style 4 seater sofa, matching oak coffee table/dining suite. Utensils and accessories include a kettle, toaster, microwave and coffee machine.

Breakfast bar with 2 modern bar stools.

50" Samsung TV with Freeview, DVD player, stereo system and Wi-Fi. A selection of board games, DVDs and books.

The apartment is modern but cosy and we have over 130 fantastic comments to prove how successful it has been for our many guests over the years.

The keys to the apartment are located in our safe key box in the lobby at the top of the external steps. Please enter the code you have received and enter the property. “Ticked all the boxes!”

We had a great time staying in the apartment for a long weekend. It was perfect for the kids - aged 3 and 18months - with plenty to do within walking distance- the beach, park, play park and into Paignton. We instantly felt at home in there - yet it still felt very special. Ruth was a great host. We’ll be back!

“High Gables Apartment 3.”

Ruth the host was fantastic, helpful and very informative. The apartment was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed. All of us found the beds very comfortable and all the bed linen and some towels were provided. It also has its own parking space which is very convenient. Check in was easy with very clear instructions. Would highly recommend staying in Ruth’s apartment, get booking.

Just to confirm, we provide a flannel, hand towel and bath towel for each guest, along with a bath mat and tea towels and, where a guest stays for a second week, we always offer to change the bed linen and towels half way through the holiday. Response from the owner Thank you for your kind words. Our housekeeper takes huge pride in maintaining the apartment and ensuring it looks good for arrivals. The walk to Brixham is one of my favourites, often walked with my three little boys, who are now in their thirties! When it's operating, you can get the ferry across the bay from Brixham to Torquay and then continue your walk back to the Goodrington - especially good that the home leg is the flatter of the two!

“Great apartment!”

Ruth's place was sparkling clean, organized, and very relaxing. We had a fantastic stay in Torbay. There was a good restaurant down a path, through a park, right around the corner. There was a beach with some walking paths right after that. This location was a good home base for exploring Dartmoor National Park and the surrounding countryside!
