Description

Located on 40 acres of secluded waterfront property; the Cozy Cattail can serve as your base camp for exploring the central Oregon Coast. Be sure to schedule time sit back and relax surrounded by nature in the comfort of the CozyCattail Cabin.

The Cabin features pine paneling throughout, a high open ceiling in the living room and furnishings and wildlife décor from the Myrtlewood Gallery to give it a true Northwest feel.

The Cozy Cattail Cabin, most comfortable for 2-3 persons,but sleeps 4 and is the most secluded 300ft from the Cottage and nestled behind the trees.

There are 2 bedrooms: A Beautiful Myrtlewood queen bed with a memory foam mattress in the upstairs loft bedroom and a comfortable double size bed in the small bdrm downstairs right next to the bathroom.

Comforters, blankets, pillows, and clean sheets are supplied

The bathroom has with a refreshing shower, hairdryer, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash,....

The cute compact kitchen features a small Stove/Oven, Microwave, Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Pots, Pans, Dishes, and Utensils. Just bring the groceries.

The Wood Stove has firewood and kindling to set a cozy atmosphere and efficiently heat the house when needed. The woodstove is the main source of heat and it quickly heats the whole house.

Ceiling Fan in the living room

A Portable Fan can be provided for that rare day over 80 degrees

There is a Blu-ray DVD player with flatscree tv and a selection of movies,

It has a beautiful Myrtlewood floor on the main level and new carpet in the loft bedroom.

The cabin has a coldwater washer & dryer and a charcoal grill out the back porch and a picnic table in the woods.

A canoe and life vests are available as well as fishing poles and a crab pot.

Intermittent cell phone reception usually available at the chairs by the dock.

Free Wifi available in town at The Myrtlewood Gallery.

If there is anything else you might need, let us know. We might have it. We just live at the end of the road.

If you are bringing small children or toddlers fyi there is no door to the upstairs loft or baby gate on the stairs. Children need supervision outside as well due to the proximity to water hazards and wildlife.

No pets are allowed at the Cabin. Our other unit " The Cozy Cattail Cottage is pet friendly.

House rules:

We entrust our home to your care and expect that you will keep it as clean as you found it.

Limited parking. No more than 2 vehicles please.

Trailers are not recommended.

Most of our guests appreciate the peace and quiet. If we have other guests at the Cottage please keep the noise level down.

No unauthorized guests: If you wish to have a few people over to dinner that's OK just let us know. Large unauthorized parties are not allowed.

This rental is not for groups of young adults under the age of 24. Please let us know the nature of your trip if you'd like us to make an exception to the under age 24 rule.

No Smoking inside the house or on the cedar deck or elsewhere on the property or in the woods. OK on the concrete deck only. Please keep all ashes and butts in a fireproof receptacle.

No fireworks or open fires. Forest fire prevention is important during the summer since we live in the middle of the woods.

Rental of the property constitutes acceptance of the host's basic Rental Agreement.

Getting around

There is a 5 mile scenic drive into town. If you are bringing a trailer, be aware that we do have a 10ft wide bridge with tight corners. Larger trailers are not recommended as you may have some difficulty with the inside corner. Use CAUTION!! and swing wide. Alternatively some guests prefer to moor their boats at Salmon Harbor Marina. It's more convenient than towing and launching your boat each day.

Interaction with guest

We are available during the daytime in town at the Myrtlewood Gallery to answer any questions. Although we don't always have cell phone reception, I live just a 1/4 mile from the Cabin if you happen to need me for any nighttime emergency.
