“Nice Honeymoon Stay”
This was definitely the place we were looking for. The resort was beautiful and 438 was very spacious. We were disappointed with the snorkel gear, it was very dirty, so we didn't use it. The tub was not quite as luxurious as we had hoped, but the bathroom was very spacious and nice. We had a wonderful stay!
“Great condo for family vacation!!”
We enjoyed our stay in 438 Konea! All the comforts of home! It was a week of relaxation, boogie boarding, snorkeling and fun. We did stay at the resort and BBQ & cook a few nights and it was nice to have everything we needed available in the kitchen. I was pleased to have enough soap, & paper products for our 10 day stay. I brought stuff I didn't have to use. Mahalo! The view from the Lanai is beautiful and relaxing. I took a lot of photo's of the Maui sunset. The resort is a short drive to several fun area's; Lahaina, Whalers Village, Napali, & Kapalua. Dukes was fantastic for breakfast, happy hour and dinner and it is conveniently located at the resort. We can't wait to come back ! Aloha
“Wonderful accommodating Condo”
We just spent the last week at 520 Honua Kai and loved it! Very clean and inviting; fully equiped with everything you need. The hospitality was just wonderful. We would recommend it to anyone.
“Everything was perfect (really, truly)”
My wife, 5 year old son, and I spent 8 great nights here, and (despite being discerning travelers, with many years of experience staying in very nice places) we have nothing negative to say. The unit was tastefully decorated, easy to live in, and comfortable. The view was as represented. The Honua Kai resort was great. In short, everything was (really, truly) perfect.
“Great location, nice property, great beach!”
This property is very nice. Three pools to experience and 5 hot tubs. The beach is awesome! Newer property good location. There is a supermarket across the street with a good selection. Everyone told us to shop other places but the Times market had a prepared dinner each night for purchase. One night it was steak and shrimp and it was delicious and very reasonable. Great snorkeling right at the beach in front of the hotel. I was snorkeling by myself one late afternoon. I was floating on a boogie board looking in the water. I turned to look behind me and was surprised to see a turtle checking my out! I could have reached out and touched him. He just looked and me and slowly swam on. There is also a great boogie boarding beach just north of this location at Onehola (sp?) right off of Office Road. Small free public parking, very uncrowded beach at this ideal boogie boarding beach! We used the boogie boards, chairs, towels, ice chest provided in the room. There is also a a great beach walkway that goes all the way down the beach to the Sheraton! Can walk to Black Rock and snorkel there or enjoy the restaurants and beaches down that way. There are bar-b-ques to cook on down by the pools for cooking and eating in. Nice to have washer and dryer in rooms too! Opening the wall of doors to the outside and eating on the deck was nice and relaxing. This property is nice because it is in a good location and also far enough from the busiest areas to be relaxing.
“A fabulous find in Maui!”
The condo was furnished perfectly for a couple! We would definitely consider returning. Although the ocean view is through the trees and between a neigboring condo, the tranquility of the setting and the overall amenties of the property make it worthwhile. Honua Kai is a fabulous setting and much more peaceful than the bustling Westin property next door. The pool area was not crowded and the stunning beach was deserted. Grocery store across the street is good for basic but check out the new Food Land Grocery Store located across from the Cannery Mall in Lahina; very similar to a Bristol Farms. This unit also has benefit of local manager who greets you and is also available for any questions or problems you may have. There are only a few one bedroom units at this property which makes this rental unique and very special!
“Great Family Vacation”
We have two teenage boys so sleeping in typical hotel beds does not work for us. We put one on the pull-out sofa and the other on a blow-up mattress. Was nice to have enough space to navigate around the boys disorganized clothing. We loved the beautiful, new condo with upscale resort pools. Something for everyone. Duke's restaurant is right on-site. The full kitchen was nice, convienient for breakfast. The large lanai was a big hit with folding doors opening the inside out. Location is good at north end of resort hotels along beach. Nice walks either along path or on the beach. Don't expect a full ocean view, you see other hotels, trees and grassy area. Still quite nice and easy to go to where the views are better within the resort.
