Description

Our Family Vacation home sits at over 3000 feet and has wide, long views from both large decks. We have a large master bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed and walk in closet, a large bathroom with a jetted garden tub, double sink vanity and a tiled walk-in double shower. French doors open onto the large front deck from the bedroom and also from the living area. The main floor also has a half bath for company and convenience. There is also a laundry room and butler's pantry off the kitchen. Upstairs we have a larger bedroom with a queen bed and a smaller bedroom with a double bed and a single over bunk. These share another large bath with two separate sink vanities and a large tiled walk-in double shower. Upstairs also is the loft with a wet bar, coffee maker, small fridge and game table, and a beautiful view out the front window. It also has a fold out futon for young kids.

The downstairs is a large den with a big flat screen TV and another futon sleeper for kids. We also have a double air mattress if needed. There is a full bath and a clothes closet. This room has French doors onto the very large lower deck with rocking chairs and a nice lower view. This room accesses the 2 car garage and double Dart Boards for responsible adult tournament play.

Our main floor has a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters and bar top with 4 stools. Great room open to kitchen and dining area has a big Flat screen TV and gas fire place. Two sets of French doors open onto the main deck from the great room. The large deck faces East and has breathtaking morning sunrises. We have a 6 chair table, 4 rockers and 2 lounge chairs on the deck. It wraps around to the back porch entry where there is a charcoal grill and French doors into the kitchen and 6 place dining table area with double windows.

A lot of room to enjoy your time together and the Bountiful Views. Our parking area can easily handle 3 or 4 cars without blocking any one in and without using the double garage.

There is a lot to do in the area. Waynesville has frequent Festivals on the downtown main street, great shopping and a great selection of restaurants. Our home is a quick 25 miles to Asheville where you can enjoy touring the Biltmore Estate and Gardens and lots of antique shops and fine dinning. Asheville has a huge selection of Craft Breweries, a zoo and Arboretum. A really cool town.

We are only a few miles from Maggie Valley and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway with numerous waterfall hikes and views. Just past Maggie Valley is the town of Cherokee with the new Harrahs Casino.

We are only 10 miles from the Cataloochee Elk Park within the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Early morning and late afternoon you can see the giant elk come out into the fields to feed. Sometimes these large elk will walk right up to your car. We've also seen them in our yard. A great place for pictures or a nice hike. The Great Smokey Mountains National Park has many sites within a reasonable drive. Lots of waterfall hikes and rafting or kiaking and swimming or zip line opportunities.

“Awesome cabin with great location”

Cabin was better than advertised and John was a great host. We were close to skiing and to the Biltmore. Views are amazing. Beds are comfy. House is clean. We’ll be back.
