Description
This charming 4* self catering holiday cottage is situated in the heart of the Kent village of Rodmersham Green, opposite the village pond, the village green and open countryside. The village pub and village shop/cafe are adjacent to the cottage.
The cottage was built in 1860 as a farm workers cottage, later becoming the post office and village shop. Full of traditional features it is the perfect base for exploring Kent throughout the year.
Old Post Cottage has two bedrooms and is beautifully decorated, providing a calm and peaceful ambience, with a cosy sitting room and separate dining room.
We hold a Green Tourism GOLD award for Old Post Cottage. Great walking and cycling on your doorstep. Kent Downs AONB just 1 mile away and the No.1 cycle route is 2.5 miles from the cottage. We hire out bicycles to explore the area.
One well behaved pet allowed by prior arrangement.

“A home away from home!”
Monique and Malcom have thought of everyhing to provide a delightful cottage in the heart of the Kentish countryside that accomodates all. Beautifully presented cottage with an amazing history along with it's neighbour Candy Cottage that can also be rented. We spent over a week here visiting family and friends and felt very much at home with our two girls age 5 and 7 years. Lots of exploring through the fields and meeting the friendly locals. We will definitely be back to use Old Post Cottage as our base for visiting family and friends again. There is so much to do in this area and Monique and Malcom can point you in the right direction. We loved the personal touches of wildflowers from their garden, home baked bread and fresh eggs, butter and milk all waiting fro us on our arrival. Well done!!!
