Description
Independent Bungalow-Studio with kitchen and a large bathroom with shower, in an elegant Wright Style villa, designed between 1948 and 1950 by the well known architect G. Samona, known as "Villa Scimemi" (look for) It.s located in Palermo, in the district of Mondello, surrounded by tall old trees, at the foot of Monte Pellegrino and a stone's throw from the sea; actually the white beach is just accross the street. Elegantly furnished in the style of the 1950s, it is supplied with good quality lingerie, two single beds next to each other, one sofabed, satellite TV, heat pump and air conditioning. The kitchen, where you can have your meals, is supplied with fridge freezer, table, kitchen cupboard and all the necessary crockery. Guests can use parking area for one car and a large outdoor area equipped with a gazebo, table, , chairs and sun beds where you can stay, sunbathe, or enjoy meals in peace. The pool (usually open from 1st May to 30th October, climate permitting) and the Jacuzzi aren't equipped for a public use but, under their own responsibility, we are very happy to share them with our guests. Jacuzzi is available in winter months with a fee of 10 E/day x person for 40 minutes a day. The bus stop , the main shops,grossery shop, banks, ATM, pharmacy, dining options, bicycle and scooter rental and the church are at five-ten minute walk away. For sea lovers in the summer months, at a few minute walk, there are Lidos on the beach where you can rent umbrellas, deck chairs etc. For water sports lovers it is possible to rent windsurfs, sailboats or canoes in a Nautical Club within two or three minute walking distance. Also in the village of Mondello, about 20 minutes walk, you can find many restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, pizzerias, sandwich shops, the supermarket and many other shops
