Description

Fantastic location across from the Aquarium and the Niagara Gorge. A quick walk, half a mile, to the Falls themselves. FREE Wi-FI. Conveniently located near a supermarket and public transportation.

The house has three bedrooms and one bathroom on the second floor. The large living and dining area and kitchen are on the first floor. It is fully furnished for you to make yourselves at home. The kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to make your own meals if you wish. If you are not into cooking, there are restaurants 1 block away on Third Street and more nearer the Falls.

We are fully permitted and certified by the City of Niagara Falls that we meet all building and fire codes required to operate a vacation rental. Many listings in Niagara Falls are not legal, so be careful. Keep your family safe and be sure to book with those operators that can show you their permit and certificate of occupancy.

Getting around

Car: Use google maps. Train: Amtrak comes directly to Niagara Falls and from the station you can walk (1.5 miles) or take a taxi for about $6. Bus: Major bus lines, such as Greyhound and Megabus, go to Buffalo. From Buffalo you can take the NFTA bus to Niagara Falls. During the summer season, Greyhound runs to Niagara Falls. The local bus line is run by Niagara Frontier Transit Authority. The closest stop is 2 blocks away at Main and Pine. Plane: If you arrive by plane into Buffalo Niagara International Airport, you have 4 options to get to Niagara Falls, from most expensive to least expensive: taxi, UBER or Lyft, ITA shuttle, NFTA bus.

Interaction with guest

Guests are given a key code prior to their arrival so they do not need to "make an appointment" to meet us with a key. We usually do not see our guests BUT we are very close by if they need us.

Regarding the distance to the Falls, it is a 10 minute walk in the summer but yes, in the winter it can take longer because the most direct route along the Gorge is closed due to ice and snow. Glad the kids loved the games - we add a few more every year : )

Response from the owner We were happy to host Tina and her family for the week they were here. The house is situated in the Park Place Historic District within a typical rust belt city. This an urban environment with a diverse racial and socioeconomic population. While many of the big old houses in the area are lovely and well maintained, there are others that are neglected or empty. It is an area that is slowly being brought back to life with new people and energy. The walk to the Falls is 10 minutes if you go directly across the street to the Aquarium, then the Discovery Center and along the top of the Gorge to Prospect Point. However, if you walk along the streets, it takes twice that amount of time. We do not advertise cable as an amenity in our listing because it is just basic cable (not very exciting). Most guests are only here for 2-3 nights, so this is not an issue. We do have wi-fi, a decent selection of movies to go with the DVD player, and a variety of games.
