2 Bedroom , 1 bath - 2 minutes to beach, 5 mins Downtown Santa Barbara. Huge Backyard, the size of a park, nature abounds! Zipline, tree swings, Tarzan rope, tetherball, WIFI works in park!

This 2 bedroom Suite has a microwave, coffee maker, 1/2 fridge/freezer, fold out table, see photos.

Minimum stays vary -- Mid week fill in nights, minimum stay of 1 night, so inquire.

This is a special property on land with a backyard of about an acre of lawn, natural property to walk through gardens and explore, filled with over 10 tree swings, oak trees, an arboretum, 33 specimen roses, fruit trees, with expansive views from the window overlooking your park like yard. Great for dogs, kids, and kids at heart.

There is a Zipline, tree swings, a Tarzan rope, cross train rope to climb, hammock, tetherball, --- and a lawn as big as a sports field. It's a huge play land.

2 bedroom, 1bath - 1 Queen Bed in each bedroom and 2 twin sized rollaways in the closets, and futons for extra sleeping in case you all want to sleep separate. Maximum occupancy 5 people. There are lots of linens, sheets, comforters, blankets, bath and beach towels for ultra comfort during your stay. 2 HD TV's, DVD players, high speed internet, Cable TV. Roku in one bedroom with Netflix.

The location is 2 minutes by car to Hendry's Beach/Arroyo Burro Beach, 5 mins by car to downtown, and 10 mins to SB Airport. Uber to downtown is about $7. It is by an amazing expansive sandy beach, Hendry's, framed by beautiful cliffs. A Dog beach is on the left side, Boathouse restaurant and miles of beach to walk on the right. 5 mins to downtown State Street, the Pier & Harbor.

The house is extremely private in a very rural area, which is unusual since it's close to the beach and downtown. No neighbors can see in. The house is built into a hill so it's naturally quiet. The lawn alone is about one acre and is bordered by 27 acres of wild land. It is mainly fenced. This rental is above the yard and overlooks it for a breathtaking view. There is a flagstone staircase to take you on a garden walk down to the yard.

Upon arrival, you will see a Butterfly Garden with special plants to sustain the life cycle of the endangered Monarch Butterfly. Caterpillars, and Chrysalis and flying Monarch's abound.

The specimen trees are amazing! Pick fruit for you stay if they are ripe, it's so fun!: apples, plums, avocados, oranges, lemons, peaches, loquats.

For larger groups, there is a second unit below (the entire structure is built into a hillside. The second unit is on FlipKey Listing number 877827 and is a 2 bed/1 bath. The yard is shared with the unit below. The entry to each unit is completely separated, private, and you may not see the other party except maybe in the play land yard, that's as big as a park. People have not had a conflict sharing the yard. Usually people are touring so much there is lots of private time when the other unit is rented at the same time.

Manager has unit on property, and is sometimes there. If not, there is a caretaker/maintenance person to handle any issues. For stays over 3 days, there is free wash and fold laundry done for you.

For a group, you can rent both units based on availability.

For stays of 1 week or more, a housekeeper will come one of the days to clean the suite and do wash and fold personal laundry, all included in the price.


Maximum occupancy for unit --- 5 people.

No Events, No Weddings. No students with wild parties. This is a special property for peaceful stays for romance, families, kids, puppies, but absolutely not a 'party' house. No events, no bachelor or bachelorette parties. Stay is limited to the unit maximum.

Use of tree swings, ropes, hammock, zip line, all at your own risk, so parents tell your kids to be careful, and please supervise! It's a lot of fun for all, but be careful!

Property is not childproofed inside or out. If you have a crawler, or toddler, please be advised that this property is not set up for the safety features necessary for young children. All electric is like a normal house, there is a fireplace not secured for kids, the deck outside was built before child safety codes, so openings in the fencing is larger than 4 inches apart.

Getting around

Best to have a car in Santa Barbara. You can get here by train, or plane easily. Uber is cheap and easy. Buses are nearby, but time consuming, and not very popular for that reason.

Self check in with a lock box, manager is reachable by messaging on this site, or calling. Manager has unit on property, and sometimes stays there if not traveling. If Manager is away, there are other maintenance workers that can help with an issue. Housekeeper is available extra if requested.

Great place to play with my three kids and husband. Rebecca is a wonderful hostess and very gracious. Kids loved the big backyard and all the fun toys like the zipline and Tarzan rope.
