Description

The Lodge, is a spacious property comprising the front half of an architect designed Arts and Crafts house.

One double bedroom, one twin bedroom, one single room and a modern shower room are upstairs, along with a comfortable sitting room. The dining room and kitchen and new second shower room are downstairs.

The Lodge has the Visit Scotland Self Catering 3 Star Award and the Green Tourism Silver Award.

The garden is screened by trees and shrubs. Guests have exclusive use of the front lawn and part of the drive with parking space for at least two cars..The garden and surrounding land attract a wide variety of birds and wildlife. There are varied local walks to hills and moorland, as well as through the quiet village to woodland.

The village, next to Gleneagles at the edge of the Scottish Highlands, is in the centre of Scotland, with very good road links to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. The surrounding area offer a wide range of attractions. Stirling (20 minutes by road) . Perth (20 minutes by road).

Since The Lodge was made available for holiday guests nearly three years ago, we have been delighted to welcome guests from so many different countries including

England, Germany, Finland, USA, Netherlands, France Italy and Spain

as well as guests who have travelled much less far from other parts of Scotland.

The Lodge has played host to guests who have celebrated:

a first birthday, a birthday of someone a number of years older, a proposal of marriage, and a first opportunity to see snow for real.

Guests have stayed at the Lodge for lots of different reasons:

to go to a wedding, to attend the Ryder Cup and other activities at Gleneagles Hotel, to visit Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Highlands, to search for information about their ancestors and to play golf at many different local golf courses in the beautiful Perthshire countryside.

Some guests have simply come to enjoy a quiet weekend and have spent time observing the birds that visit the garden.

Thanks to all our guests for choosing to stay here and for all your positive comments about The Lodge.
