“Causeway Bay, great location, 2 toilets, 2 showers, 3 bedrooms, MTR next door”

Reviewed 27 May 2015

Victor was great to deal with during booking and when we were asking questions. All communications were clear and answered promptly. The onsite manager, Via, answered our calls immediately, and was waiting for us in the apartment when we arrived. She was cheery and very helpful at check-in and again at check-out. The ground floor security guy was also very helpful whenever we were entering or leaving the building. Considering this is HK, the living space in this apartment is quite generous. A bit of hall space for your shoes or empty bags, full size dining table for 6-8, lounge area that works well enough for 4-5 people, open plan kitchen with washing machine (very handy if you are doing your own cooking and laundry). The big bonus is two toilets and two showers. HK has some not so desirable toilets, so you cannot put enough value on having a decent loo to come home to. It's even better when you have two of them. The showers are fine, but, (bearing in mind that westerners are generally physically larger than their eastern cousins) there is not a lot of spare space in the cubicle. The bedrooms are perfectly functional, although not enormous. Possibly the best feature of this great apartment (maybe even better than two toilets) is the super-comfortable beds! After a day or two, anyone not fond of "firm" HK beds may soon dread the prospect of hitting the sack at night. Been there, and done that! Not so with this apartment, because all three bedrooms have memory foam mattresses that we found to be very comfortable and supportive. There are aircon units in the bedrooms and main living area, and all worked as they should (unlike the noisy old "clankers" that can be found in other properties). 30 degrees Celsius and high humidity outside, but, cool as a cucumber inside the apartment. Other observations: The building lifts are small and slow, but, there are two of them; The showers drain very slowly, so watch-out they don't overflow; A few items are showing signs of wear and tear, but, that is to be expected, and is minor; Heaps of bath towels and hand towels are provided; spare rubbish bags and paper towels are in the kitchen; There are enough pots, pans, and utensils if you want to prepare your own meals; the wifi is good; the power points cater for a variety of power plugs without the need for adapters; a useful info pack and tourist brochures are provided. Hysan Place is right next door (across a quiet street) for shopping, food court, good Supermarket, and Causeway Bay MTR Exit F2 (easy MTR access if you are lugging around heavy suitcases). Times Square is handily just down the road, and 'round the back. i.e. 3 minutes stroll to more shopping, food, expensive Supermarket, and movies. Also handy to Sogo, Victoria Park, Noon Day Gun, the delights of Wan Chai, and relatively easy walk to the HKCEC (15-20 mins). This is a great apartment in a fantastic location. Had no hassles with booking, payment, or bond return. Way more space and freedom than a hotel, and way cheaper than a good hotel if there are four or more of you. Highly recommended.

“Great experience- perfect location- nice host”

We booked this apartment because of location, nice design, friendly communication and promised services. We were not disappointed at all! Space is a premium in Hong Kong and the apartment uses the space perfectly well. All aircons worked well and the showers were a nice pleasure to days exploring the city. Never noticed much street noise - slept great! We were allowed to stay till the late evening in the day on our check out day and were very grateful. Great communication from booking till the check out. Nice welcome package and info about around and when we had any questions the reservation team as well as Via the guest manager was available on phone or email anytime.

“Fantastic experience”

My family of 4, including 2 children, recently stayed at this wonderful apartment in the middle of Causeway Bay.. We loved the flat and the neighborhood. The owner was a joy to deal with, especially given a flight issue that resulted in us arriving much later than expected. The apartment description was spot on. Given the location of the flat we were able to go shopping almost 24/7, supermarket round the corner is indeed open 24/7 which was such a relief. MTR is more or less downstairs and traveling with children was alway easy. Sleep was good as the bedrooms are comfy, mattress are soft. We heard stories about tough Chinese mattresses but the owner did very well. The entire apartment is perfectly equipped with all western amenities we could ask for. Sometimes you have to wait for the lift a while but there are 2 and it seems to be normal in Hong Kong and we got used to it . The neighborhood is extremely convenient and the variety of food just down the street is huge. We loved to walk and regularly walked from the flat to the Harbor, Wan Chai, even to Central, Victoria Park is also within a short walk to reach. A great experience overall.

“What a wonderful experience”

What a wonderful way to experience Hong Kong! The apartment was exactly as described and very nice to stay in. Victor was very helpful with advice on getting in and was always responsive when I had questions or we were coordinating the rental. When you are travelling halfway around the world to get there, this was a very nice touch. The driver was on time to pick us up at the airport and Via was very sweet and met us late night when we arrived to show us around. This is a very well positioned apartment in that you can get around all of HK fast by foot, via MTR or taxi - this was extremely helpful for us as we had some rain the first part of the visit but the convienience of where we were did not slow us down. The fact you have a pretty, clean, nice space to come home to also makes for a very relaxing trip especially with kids. Sleeping was very good, the host offers Hotel style bed linen, which was very smoothing and nice to have. Kitchen is full with modern and western style items, we did not really use the kitchen but for breakfast only, which was a pity as everything seemed to be pretty new and nice. In the immediate area you will find all kind of restaurants. We preferred Cantonese kitchen, but there are also international restaurants, Korean style, Japanese, Shanghainese and even French bistro. The kids were happy to get Apple accessories in the huge store just across the street. Sogo Department Store is opposite as well as Times Square and Lee Garden Malls. Not that we could have afford to buy anything there but is nice to have all the big brands around. We were overall- very pleased with our choice!
