Description from owner

Description

A lovely detached wooden chalet in the grounds of the owner's property, near the rural village of Canonbie, half a mile from the border with England. This cosy and relaxing bolthole for two offers open plan studio accommodation and looks out over farmland and a large pond. There is also exclusive use of a 4 person hot tub on the veranda , providing a perfect opportunity to unwind, enjoy a chilled drink and appreciate the wildlife or admire the night sky. Less than ten minutes' drive from Gretna, this makes a fantastic and romantic hideaway, or an ideal base for simply exploring the Dumfries and Galloway and the surrounding border countryside. Cosy and stylish, the cabin is an ideal retreat that you'll want to return to again and again.

The Cabin is now only available Monday - Friday (4 nights) and Friday to Monday (3 nights).

PLEASE NOTE- The hot tub is situated on the Cabins' veranda and is for the private and sole use of guests staying in the Cabin.

The cabin is 90 minutes from Glasgow, 2 hours from Edinburgh and 90 minutes from Newcastle.

Unfortunately, once the cabin has been booked we are unable to change dates. We always advise visitors to purchase travel insurance which can cover illness and adverse weather etc. If however, you need to cancel your holiday and the cabin is re-let, we would refund the cost of the stay minus any fees already charged by Holiday Letting.

“Fabulous!!”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2018

I booked this lodge as a surprise for my partners 50th birthday and was not disappointed. Didn't think we would make it due to the worst snow storm we've ever experienced. However, we dug ourselves out, braved the elements and we beat the "beast from the east". It was so worth the effort!!! Arrived at the lodge and was welcomed by Stuart who was so lovely and informative. The lodge itself is immaculately clean, warm and welcoming. You have the feeling of being totally secluded and never thought I'd see myself sitting in a hot tub in -3° with glass in hand and a new interest in wildlife!!! My partner loved his surprise. Cannot recommend enough. Would also recommend a visit to the Cross Keys, Canonbie for food. All home made and delicious!! Would definitely book this lodge again!
