If you're looking for an extremely clean, comfortable and cheery place to stay in the heart of Sonoma County, where you'll find outstanding local food, vineyards, and outdoor outings galore, Sally's Garden Cottage is the cozy little place in town that's perfect for your party of 2-6 people.

Located in a safe and friendly traditional neighborhood in the Montgomery Village area of Santa Rosa, Sally's is just off Hwy. 12 (otherwise known as Sonoma County's “Wine Country Highway”) within 5 minutes of Hwy 101. It's easy to walk out the front door for a stroll through attractive neighborhoods as well as interesting shops. Nearby, Annadel State Park and Spring Lake Regional Park offer miles of walks, hikes and mountain bike choices. The local area boasts both fine restaurants, casual dining choices, performance arts and galleries.

With rates about the same as the cost of two hotel rooms, Sally's Garden Cottage is easy on the budget for a small family or two couples traveling together. Park your car in the driveway or on the street. The neighborhood is safe.

Newly remodeled and freshly painted in fall 2014, the house feels brand new. The cottage is bright, comfortably appointed and features the conveniences of home—complete with a wonderful outdoor garden setting and barbecue in the fully fenced-in back yard. If you like blooming flower beds and honest-to-goodness organic vegetables you can pick in season, you will feel right at home here.

Those with an appreciation of conscious living will appreciate this 850 sq. ft. home's organics, solar tube lighting and roof-mounted solar array. All electric power is from renewable sources, including solar panels and Northern California's geysers, the largest producing geothermal generating field in the world!

The kitchen is fully appointed with cookware and tableware. It features granite tile counter tops and tile floor, stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, full-size gas range, microwave, disposal and built-in filtered water at the sink. The house also features central A/C and heat as well as ceiling fans in every room to control air flow and maximize comfort.

Accommodations include two pleasant bedrooms with comfortable queen-sized beds. The living room has a leather sofa, which pulls out into a queen-sized sofabed. The cottage's bathroom is bright and clean, and features a tub and shower combination.

The living room is bright with multiple windows and features a built-in 50” flat screen TV with 6-speaker surround sound system and blue-ray DVD player.

Guests also have laundry privileges with access to the washer and dryer. Sorry, no smoking indoors or pets under any circumstances.

This was a pleasure. The unit is small, but very clean, well decorated and very functional. Love being by Montgomery Village and within a few minutes of downtown Santa Rosa. Great value
