We had some real problems with our stay this year. I have been renting homes for close to 20 years and this is the first year my family stayed at a house and did not feel relaxed or welcome in the home. First, the place was not what was promised in the pictures and description. The description boasted the outdoor "gourmet" cooking patio..When we got there there were physical signs on the equipment it was not usable. (the built in grill and the fridge ) We doubted that and we are convinced it was shut down so renters would not use it..Don't advertise it as a feature if you are not going to let people use it.. Also, in the pics there is a fire pit and it was removed when we got there. Inside the home there was little to no cookware. There were no baking dishes. I had to go out and buy disposable aluminum pans to bake in the oven. There were no local menus or anything that visiting families would need. There was not even a salt and pepper shaker that was usable. It felt antiseptic and as if they didn't really want anyone in it. Finally, we had a family cookout our first Sunday there with our large family. We had people come in to the home during the party and ask about the number of cars. It was embarrassing. The rest of the week people walked by and looked over the fence. The neighbor behind us was staring over the fence during our cookout. It was like staying a fishbowl with no privacy. For four thousand dollars a week I thought I was paying for something a step up and even though the home was lovely we did not feel welcome. Sincerely, Bridget McGovern

Response from the manager Dear Bridget, thank you for taking the time to review our home. We appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback about your experience. We are sorry to hear that your vacation was not as enjoyable as you hoped it would be . We received a call from surrounding neighbors that there were too many people and cars at the property. In order to assure the property’s owner that everything is okay, our staff went to the home. Unfortunately from experience, we know that tenants are not always truthful about who is renting/staying in the home. After going to the property and speaking with you, we could easily see that you were being respectful of the property and having a family cookout. Regarding the outdoor refrigerator, we spoke to the owner and they confirmed it is in working order. The built in gas grill is not hooked up for tenant usage because of the gas line that comes directly from the street. The owners opted to include a gas grill on the deck with propane instead for safety purposes. The owner also had to remove the fire pit due to their home owner’s insurance requirements. We have been in business for over 30 years and pride ourselves on being available for our owners and our guests. We are in the office 7 days a week and also have after-hour on call emergency service. Should you ever fill like something in the home is missing/lacking such as cookware, please let us know and we would be happy to bring them to you. Thank you again for your feedback.
