GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY!

Relax in this delightfully spacious 1070 square feet self catering central apartment on the ground floor of the owner's 100 year old house. The apartment, just in front of the town's ancient 15th century walls, features a large private secluded garden ideal for al fresco dining (for your use only). All previous guests have enjoyed the homely and pleasantly welcoming atmosphere. The ancient walls make it VERY cool in the summer. Safe and easy parking just outside the house.

WIFI internet throughtout. . There is also a computer if you don't want to use your devices.

A car is not necessary you can use public transport to most places. On request the owner can accompany you to any tourist spots not reached by public transport for a small fee and also provide some guided tours. Catered meals and cooking course provided on request. Wine tours can be arranged with transport.

The large open plan sitting room has high ceilings and four very comfortable sofas, stereo, tv (English channels via an app connected to a tablet) and a very wide selection of English DVDs and books. It leads into to the dining room with its seating for six people and a cosy fireplace, where you can roast meat or chestnuts. An extra double sofabed is nearby for more guests/children. We have just added another single sofa bed. An extensive selection of books, guides and maps is on hand.

A solid oak custom-made staircase leads to the mezzanine bedroom with built-in wardrobes and plenty of cupboard space, queen size bed (160 x2metres or 63 inches wide by 79 inches long) and a computer with 24 internet access. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4 ring electric stove, new oven and large fridge-freezer (no dishwasher). As well as a kettle, toaster, American coffee maker you'll find everything you need for your first night (milk, coffee, cereals, pasta, wine etc). There is a shower room and small bathroom (with toilet and sink) on the ground floor. The bedroom is a galleried bedroom reached by a few stairs (10 steps or so). We are happy to do any required shopping for you before your arrival. Can also take guests without a car to nearby supermarket. Utility room nearby where you can use the washing machine, ironing board etc. We can provide a cot on request

The apartment is in the heart of Sansepolcro, literally two minutes ON FOOT from the historic centre and all its many excellent and affordable restaurants, shops and bars. Lots of activities taking place through summer. The first couple of weeks in September is a special time for the time with a crossbow competition preceded by parades , festivals etc. Really a great time to come.

“Revisiting the magic of Sansepolcro”

Though this was our first stay at Louise and Franco's wonderful house, it was our third visit to Sansepolcro. The garden apartment was spacious,comfortable and quintessentially Italian and though the March weather didn't lend itself to our using the garden, it was easy to imagine what a blissful spring and summer setting it might be. The location was a perfect springboard into the delights of the Tuscan countryside: the legions of small idiosyncratic villages and the majesty of Assisi, Cortona, Siena and so much more. As much as any of these places though it was the generosity and hospitality of Louise and Franco that made our holiday. Nothing was too much trouble and their local knowledge and advice was invaluable. Sansepolcro manages to retain its magic and we can never discount a fourth visit perhaps to renew the aquaintance with Louise and Franco.
