Very Good

“Great location, clean and nice, but rough around the edges.”

We rented this unit with the idea that our family of four would be joined by at least two other friends. Unfortunately, they had to back out. Although there would have been plenty of sleeping space, the smallness of the kitchen and dining area would have made things a bit tight. The WiFi never worked the whole 6 days we were there despite several calls to have it repaired, the upstairs toilet wouldn't flush (I fixed it rather than wait), and worst of all, the available spa was closed for remodeling. We were not told about this at anytime during or after our booking and only learned of it when we walked to it and saw the sign. A few of the kitchen drawers' tracks are in need or fixing: the back of one drawer suddenly drops when you try to close it. And then we discovered there was no snow shovel in the unit to help dig our car out from an over 2 feet of snow that fell overnight. One was delivered a few hours later after we called and were almost drilled to confirm that we had looked in the closets for one. But by the time it arrived, we had already borrowed two from the manager's office. On the plus side, the unit is in a wonderful location that allows you to walk to the village and the gondola that takes you to Canyon Lodge and the unit is on the end with nice big windows that give you a fairly nice view.

Response from the manager Hi Jose, Firstly we would like to thank you for your feedback & we sincerely hope that despite the small challenges you came across, your time was as delightful as ever during Mammoth's historic snow storm. We understand that there were some minor setbacks during your vacation (i.e. the internet issue), however we would like to point out that more than one representative did attempt to call the internet company to send out their own representative to address the problem. Please keep in mind that during this time period in Mammoth, the internet connection can be very shaky considering it is a small town and when tourists travel up during the peak season the internet may lose connection quickly as there is limited broadband in Mammoth. Though we were not able to send someone out to fix the internet issue we did reach out to you via phone to discuss compensation. The representative that reached out to you did leave a voicemail but did not hear back so was unable to take the next step to rectify the situation. Please cakk us to discuss. As it is always disappointing to hear that the spa is under remodel, we did and do have a notice on our listing online to notify all incoming renters, we as well as the home owner was hoping the HOA would have the spa repaired within the time frame they provided but it appears they were unable to get it done. We are very sorry that you did have a problem with the upstairs toilet. had we been notified us of the issue, we definitely would have had a quicker response time to this, we have an on ground quality control representative that would have come by to see if there was something we could take care of. However if it was a much larger situation than presented, we would have gotten into contact with the plumbing company to come out to the unit as soon as possible. We do very much apologize that there was no snow shovel in the unit, but we were more than happy to drop one off for you as we do understand the necessity of needing one. Please don't let this one trip hinder you from booking a trip to Mammoth again as we very much would love to see you again. Have a great day! Cheers, The Nomadness Team
