Experience Michigan in a spectacular way this summer at a stunning lake-front vacation home: Sunset Shores Lake House. Enjoy sunsets over the water while toasting marshmallows by the fire in this spacious 7-bedroom + rec room, 4-bath lakefront cottage situated on Upper Scott Lake, just 2.5 hours from Chicago and 3 hours from Detroit. Just a short drive away you will find the beautiful Lake Michigan coastal communities of South Haven, Saugatuck, and Holland. Explore the many sparkling sandy beaches, amazing dunes, and breathtaking lake views to be found on America's "Third Coast".

Decorated in a charming French country design, you'll feel right at home in this comfortable and expansive rental. Our home consists of all-new ranch-style construction, completed in July 2015, which includes a spacious handicap-accessible bathroom and no stairs inside. Great for families and groups! Enjoy a great meal prepared on our gas grill and then shared in the screened porch dining area or on the lakeside deck. The screened porch is a great spot to relax with a cup of coffee, play a game or 2, or read the latest best-selling novel.

Sunset Shores Lake House is situated on the eastern shore of Upper Scott Lake. The home is set back from the water’s edge with a grassy lawn and a fire pit between the house and the small, private beach with a dock. The home has seven bedrooms and four full bathrooms. Our great room area includes a full kitchen with island seating (mini-fridge included), a living room area with large-screen TV and leather couches for lounging, additional breakfast seating or game table, and a dining room with a huge dining set. It also features an outdoor patio on the lake-facing side AND a screened porch with additional dining. Our entire home, yard, private beach, private dock, and canoe are ready and waiting for your exclusive use during your stay. Kayaks may also be reserved in advance for rental by the day (a small fee required). This home has room for 16 max guests (14 max adults), which includes kids of ALL ages.

This home was conceived and built to cater to large groups and families who want to get away from it all while spending quality time together. We work hard to provide a comfortable and functional, yet fun and charming atmosphere throughout our home and grounds. We even designed our outdoor spaces to provide ample opportunities for enjoying good meals and having a good conversation together. We hope that the amazing lake views from the great room and lake-facing deck will awe and impress you as much as they do us. We strive to create welcoming spaces that draw you in with their carefully-designed and comfortable rooms, and our greatest desire is to see you create memories with your loved ones as you visit with us year after year.
