Sandaig Holiday Rental is a lovely spacious well equipped modern home set in the village of Nethy Bridge. The owners love to spend time in Nethy Bridge as the house location is so special, backing on to a Scots Pine forest. The house is furnished with vintage peices of furniture and some personal art work that creates a homely comfortable feel and avoids the house feeling like a standard holiday let. The village centre is only minutes walk through the Caledonian pine forest which is a beautiful and tranquil place to walk with children and pets. Sandaig boasts a new dining kitchen and two new bathrooms. The house can sleep 8 people and has 2 king size bedrooms (one which is en suite) and 2 other bedrooms. The layout involves one king and triple bedroom upstairs and one king and single bedroom downstairs.

Beds bedlinens and towels are superb quality to ensure a well rested stay. The home has new eco central heating in place and has been insulated to ensure its cosy and warm in winter.

There is a large open plan living / dining room with sunroom / conservatory attached. The living room has a large wood burning stove which makes for cosy evenings and has a homely atmosphere. Logs are available.

There is a small utility room with washing machine, small freezer and microwave off the kitchen. The front of the house has ample parking and mature gardens with a patio area. The rear garden is grassed and backs onto the forest where bike and walking trails can be accessed from the back gate, great for kids and dogs! The outhouses provide bike storage and we provide 2 basic trail bikes for guest use.

Summer BBQ and garden furniture are provided. There is ample parking at he front of the house, we have managed to park 5 cars when we have had our own family get togethers.

At Sandaig Holiday Rental , services include: WIFI, brand new fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, double oven, 5 ring gas hob. Small freezer, washing machine and microwave in utility room. TV, dvd and mp3 sound system. Digital radio in kitchen. High chair.

The area boasts so many outdoor activities from Kayaking the lochs and the river Spey to well known golf courses, whisky sampling at the distilleries, hiking, mountain biking and wildlife watching!! Amongst a host of other opportunities.....

House rules

Nethy Bridge is a quiet village where the outdoor life is appreciated. Please be mindful of this when large groups are visiting and that our neighbours may be appreciating the quiet and peace. As do the wildlife that live in the forest!

“Excellent Family Home”

This is a generous family home with huge living/dining room boasting a big log-burner and opening straight into a large conservatory. There's also a huge well-equipped kitchen and acres of sleeping space spread between the two levels. It's in one of our favourite locations in Nethy Bridge, its secure garden giving direct access into local woods with an excellent network of clear paths for walking the dog. But it's also easy to get onto longer range routes such as the excellent hike up to Ryvoan Bothy. Nethy is well positioned for exploring the wider area and boasts good local facilities such as a general store, cafe, hotel and butcher/deli. Plus a lovely characterful property just made for a big family.

We have had a great time at this place. The house is large and perfect for family holidays. We’ve used only upstairs bedrooms, but we’ve seen lovely bedrooms downstairs so we had a choice of rooms. Also, there is nice large kitchen with eating area which faces to amazing forest. The house has 2 fridge/freezers, washing machine and large family dishwasher. The WiFi was working good and provided high speed internet. We’ve enjoyed our visit and all attractions nearby, so will be back next year. Many thanks for your hospitality.

Mum booked this for myself and my brother for our families to come and enjoy what the Cairngorms has to offer. Mum did join us of course as She wanted to spend time with her youngest grandchildren. The cottage was perfect for a base of our stay. Two different families with differing holiday tastes, but it still worked!!! Everything we needed was here, even a rapid response on what to do with the heating system after a village power cut. Highly recommend this clean spacious cottage for its central location, comfort and service.

Backs on to woodland paths via a garden gate. Lots of great walks around the area. Dell forrest and Abernethy forrest really close by. Lock an Eilan, Boat of Garten, Granton on Spey only a short drive or bike ride. Well equipped cottage - there were only the two of us and our two westies who loved the place, but there is ample sleeping space for 9 people. We only used downstairs and really appreciated the king size bed, rain shower and well equipped kitchen/clean cooker. Couldn't find keys to open the conservatory windows so could only use this if the outside door was open, otherwise would have scored a 5. Enclosed garden great for dogs and children.

Great holiday accommodation. Very comfortable, relaxed . Air-source heating was interesting and worked well.Ideal location, just a short walk to shop. Secure garden was very useful for our dog. Lovely to have a gate into pine forest at end of garden. There is no longer a pond.
