The Old Workshop is a stylish two bedroom holiday cottage in the heart of the East Sussex countryside sleeping 4 people in 2 double bedrooms. The area is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and commands fabulous views across open farmland of the Sussex Weald. There are many attractions and activities available in the vicinity. For walkers there are numerous paths through woods to explore and also the Cuckoo Trail which follows the route of the disused railway line between Heathfield and Polegate. Or you can simply relax in the peaceful surroundings and admire the view. Bliss!

“The most relaxing place”

My wife and I had such a great time staying at The Old Workshop. If you need a quick break or even a nice place to stay while visiting the coast I recommend this place to stay

The perfect place for a relaxing, peaceful break. Immaculate, spacious and equipped & furnished to a very high standard. Stunning scenery and view from the decking. Several walks from the doorstep & not too far to the coast and other tourist attractions. Highly recommended and we would very happily stay again.

Lovely clean and tidy holiday let with gorgeous views and well thought out spacious accommodation based in quiet leafy lanes. Little touches like throws, biscuits and bottle of wine made us feel pampered. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and the area was pretty, not too far from the coast either. Would highly recommend.

Why can't I call Jenny (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I make changes to my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jenny (the owner) a message.

If Jenny (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
