The dark sky status of this area of Radnorshire, and the private hot tub set into the decking of Lovers' Lodge, make this a perfect romantic getaway for a couple. After an enjoyable time making the most of the great cycling, walking, fishing and heritage attractions in the area come back to the cosy lodge and relax under the stars!

Response from the manager Thank for your review of your stay at Lovers' Lodge, which we have of course discussed comprehensively over email. We are disappointed that you state in your review that we condoned the owner sharing your personal details on Facebook. We would like to take this opportunity to state that we did not condone this at any point in our correspondence. As discussed, the details were shared by accident and removed shortly thereafter. We are saddened to hear you feel that the owner uses the deposit as a source of extra income. The security deposit is used by the owner to cover the costs he incurs for damage or extra cleaning - in this case, replacing the muddy towels (as he was not comfortable using these again for future guests when he felt they had been used on your dogs) and shampooing the carpet. If there is anything further you would like to discuss, please don't hesitate to come back to us by email.

Response from the manager Hi Sammi Thank you very much for your feedback. I'm really sorry to hear that your birthday was ruined as a result of your experience at Lovers' Lodge. We have discussed your comments with the owner of the lodge. He feels that he should do his utmost to ensure guests adhere to recommended guidelines that a hot tub should be used for no more than 20-25 minutes at a time. He has advised us that guests' health and safety is paramount to him and he wishes to do all he can to ensure guests are not putting themselves in any danger. We realise that this obviously didn't come across in the way he approached you and for that we can only apologise sincerely. It hasn't been raised as an issue to us by previous guests but we will be monitoring this closely and if necessary, we will include this information for future guests at the lodge. As a gesture of goodwill, we would be very happy to offer you a discount on a future stay in Wales with us. We have a good choice of properties with hot tubs and would be only too happy to suggest somewhere else at a discounted rate if you would like to return. Kind Regards Laura
