Furnished penthouse, 8th floor with lift, large, bright and quiet, in the city center. Panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea, 2 bathrooms, 2 double or twin bedrooms, 1 quintuple bedroom with a double bed, a 2-seater sofa bed, a single bed and a cot, 1 balconies, large terrace. Possibility to add 3 beds (emergency). 2 air-conditioned rooms. Small kitchen with extendable table up to 8 seats (4 chairs, 2 folding chairs, 3 stools). The apartment overlooks one of the squares in the Baroque area. Post office, newsagents, pubs, restaurants, shops, museums, pharmacy, station, nearby. 150 m from the beach in town, right on the promenade. Offers for large groups. Available for short and long periods. In addition to the internal spaces, guests can enjoy a bright and spacious terrace with two tables, one for 8 people and one for 4, armchairs in white resin and two deck chairs. Local legislation provides for the payment of the tourist tax of 1 euro per night for a maximum of 5 days for each person over 10 years old. This tax, of which a receipt will be issued, is not included in the airbnb price and must be paid on the day of arrival.

Getting around

The streets of the area, including the one where the building is located, are all with free parking spaces, except for the post office square, adjacent to the street of the building, in which there is a time parking. The building is located adjacent to the a restricted area for the cars that is open until 10 and from 12:30 to 15. Few days before arrival, I will send you the directions and maps that will get you to park right in front of the main entrance of the building. When the restricted area is active the only street open is 2m wide.

Response from the owner Gentile Sig. Dino, premetto che mi spiace molto che l’appartamento non sia stato di vostro gusto. Ci tengo molto al benessere della persone che scelgono il mio attico e mi faccio in quattro per le eventuali richieste dei turisti come dimostrato dalle recensioni su questo e altri siti. Rispondo per punti: la cucina é una normalissima cucina di un appartamento cittadino, peraltro ampiamente documentata dalle foto. La terrazza é una terrazza di un attico (ottavo e ultimo piano di un palazzo) e, oltre ai “soliti” colombi sono presenti, essendo Mazara una città marinara, anche numerosi gabbiani. Ovviamente, prima dell'arrivo dei turisti le terrazze vengono regolarmente pulite e dopo la vostra partenza, la terrazza in questione presentava solo una decina di escrementi (contati da me personalmente), dovuti proprio ad un giorno di transito degli uccelli. Le stoviglie vengono controllate da me personalmente continuamente. Mi scuso per la tazza sporca, altri turisti avevano lasciato l'appartamento lo stesso giorno in cui siete arrivati voi ed é stata una svista. Vorrei però sottolineare che non solo é disponibile sempre tutto l'occorrente per potere lavare le stoviglie ma anche che, se me l'aveste detto, sarei venuta immediatamente a provvedere. La doccia, come tutti gli ambienti, viene pulita e disinfettata con candeggina, dopo la partenza degli ospiti. Riguardo all'asta della doccia, bastava stringere la relativa manopola, non c'era niente di rotto, era solo leggermente allentata. Che la moquette le sia sembrata malsana é opinione strettamente personale (inutile dire che essa viene periodicamente pulita e disinfettata). Solo al vostro arrivo mi è stato comunicato che una persona del gruppo aveva problemi di allergia; per questo le ho consigliato una delle stanze in cui la moquette non è presente. Ma poiché essa è visibile nelle foto a corredo dell’annuncio, mi chiedo perché non è stata chiesta alcuna informazione circa la pavimentazione, prima della conferma della prenotazione, cosa auspicabile data l'esigenza particolare del suo amico. Come faccio sempre, non avrei avuto alcun problema a dare la più ampia informazione. La presenza della moquette, peraltro, è comune in moltissimi alberghi. Per quanto riguarda il rimborso che lei si aspettava, debbo ricordarle che dopo l'arrivo, secondo le politiche di cancellazione consultabili al momento della prenotazione, non spetta alcun rimborso ed è normale se si pensa che per bloccare le date per lei sono state rifiutate altre richieste di prenotazione. Ciononostante le ho offerto il rimborso del costo di una notte, che lei ha considerato “carità”. A tal proposito, dedotte le commissioni pagate da entrambi, la invito a calcolare il costo effettivo per notte per il suo gruppo composto da 3 persone, includendo colazione e biancheria, servizi che altre strutture spesso non includono nel costo base. Anche ciò che lei considera arredo anni 70 è visibile nelle foto dell’annuncio: se non di gradimento, poteva scegliere un'altra struttura con un arredamento consono ai suoi gusti.
