Description

the house of the cork maker is a stone house (1850) and is located in the small town Mézin in the hills of Lot-et-Garonne on the edge of the Gers and the forests of the Landes between Nérac and Condom. The house is nice for a couple or for a family your pet is also welcome. The house is non-smoking but you can smoke on the terrace and the garden. In Mézin you find the baker, butcher, charcutier, caterer, fruits and vegetables and groceries, Thursday and Sunday is the market. The region is known for its good products, Armagnac and the wines of Cotes de Gascogne, Buzet and Brulhois. . The house has a large terrace and a fully fenced garden lends itself to a quiet or active holiday, you can have your meals outside and once you have a good rest it is nice to mix with other people in the festive markets and other events. The outdoor heated swimming pool is open from June to September until 20h, Adults 2 €, it is 150 m from the house. Other activities such as golf, tennis, horse riding and fishing are possible in the surrounding area. the area is interesting, castles, Romanesque and Gothic churches, pretty landscapes with vineyards, fields of sunflowers and laid. In the house you will find documentation to prepare your visits. I live in the terraced house which can be convenient if you need help or information. The house is also available in winter, ideal for discovering L-and-G, Gers, Landes and Pyrenées. Special off season price for 28 nights minimum.

Getting around

Mézin sans voiture est possible si vous voulez randonnées ou faire du vélo, 2 sont à votre disposition. Il y a un loueur de vélos électriques. La gare AGEN est à 39 km et vous pouvez venir en taxi, il y a un autobus vers 17h et un le matin vers 11 h. Si vous voulez faire le voyage en train ou avion vous pouvez louer une voiture même une électrique Il y a 4 chargeurs à Mézin, aussi à Nérac etc.. En voiture vous accedez à Mézin après une grande partie autoroute encore environs 30 km par la D656. Dans la maison vous avez une bibliothèque documentation pour organiser vos sorties et activités. Même si vous restez 2 semaines il vous restera encore des choses à découvrir.
