2 bedroom Apartment on 1st floor with private Terrace overlooking the garden, Park opposite the North side of the house.

Spacious Lounge/kitchen/diner, bathroom, separate toilet room, pellet burning stove, central heating

Sleeps 4 guests,

5 minute walk into town, Shops, restaurants,buildings of interest, museum , tourist train,5 mins car ride South into the countryside and Monts d'Arée, 15/20 mins car ride North to the beaches. Festivals,markets and many things to do otherwise during the day.

Evenings, even if there's nothing going on to suit you there is a a wide choice of restaurants and crepéries within 5 minutes walking distance where you you can have a nice pleasant evening meal with wine or beer or whatever according to your budget and walk home in 10 mins in total safety and without the worry of driving under the influence of alcohol which is now not more than zero tolerance in France!

If you don't fancy that simply light the BBQ on the terrace, get the wine out of the cooler and do your own thing and if when the sun goes down it get's a bit chilly, light the terrace heater until you're ready to fall into bed!!

In the event that it gets too hot for you even though there is a is a wind out sun shade on the terrace and parasols over the garden furniture on the lawn, at the bottom of the garden under the trees where it is a little cooler you will find a secret patio until the sun heads off to America for the night.

For anyone who who would like to come to Morlaix on foot but still like to do some guided, chauffeur driven sight seeing , that can also be arranged at an extra cost. Other wise there are single deck buses which go here and there that apparently cost nothing to buy and operate and are fueled by fresh air based on the charges that they ask. 1 Euro from Morlaix to Locquirec. Incroyable quoi!

This is a town at the head of an estuary with a confluence of two rivers running into it which evolved into a thriving inland port over the centuries which has over the last 20 years or so been painstakingly renovated at great expense of the taxpayers using local artisans with the appropriate techniques to do so. There are many architectural treasures to behold notwithstanding the incredible twin tier railroad viaduct and the maisons de Pendulez. The local modern shops are situated in these renovated buildings which is an interesting blend of old and new. You could easily spend three days exploring the town via it's network of venelles but as Morlaix is in a valley all the venelles are very steep. For those of you who are geomorphologically inclined you don't need to look far to figure out how the land was formed here millions of years ago and the forces of tangention and compression which acted on the earth's surface are very evident.

Ornithologists would find a wide variety of bird life here and there are several tropical gardens to visit. Due to the safety of the country roads here if cycling is your thing, this is where you need to be, especially on Sundays. If it's not your thing, remember to give cyclists a minimum of one metre space when passing them in your car. Fishing in the sea and estuaries is free but there are also lots of lakes but you may have to pay. Ask first! Good surf can be found on the right day according to the tide and wind.

In the high season there is always something going on in the streets be it a rock concert or a pair of jugglers. Just look at the lit up info panel at the main traffic lights at the side of the town hall as you sit waiting for the green light.

Well appointed apartment situated within a short distance of central Morlaix with ample parking space on adjacent road. Nice park opposite. There is a large garden at the rear sadly the weather during our visit was not good. We found Neil the owner very helpful

“Perfect in every way”

What a find - excellent location 5 minutes walk from town but quiet & peaceful. Large first floor one bedroom apartment, with comfortable terrace overlooking the garden; very well equipped with everything you could possibly need (although we did request an extra pillow which was provided immediately). Neil (the owner) was most welcoming & so easy to get on with we felt we'd known him for years. Thank you Neil, we'd certainly try to book again if in the area & would highly recommend to anyone wanting a home from home in Morlaix. Thanks also to Chrissie who helped me with my French!

I was there today to make the repairs and was somewhat distressed to see that Christine had not done a very good job of cleaning in my absence as promised and had not replaced the the furniture to it's original position after she had dispaced it for the benefit of the child which I not had noticed when I called in to see you.so please accept my apologies for that. However, normality has now resumed! Thanks again and I hope that Viv has now recovered from her cold.
