Description

The barn is located opposite our house in our lovely gardens which have far reaching views over the Somerset countryside. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and is an idyllic place to spend your holiday. Shabby chic meets modern country living. Oh, and don't forget the hot tub!

Bramble is mainly in the loft, although the modern kitchen extension is on the ground floor. It is beautifully fitted out, with a great range of appliances and equipment. There's an oven, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle and a good range of utensils and crockery. Upstairs is a lovely long sitting room in the eaves with sofa, TV/DVD, music system, dining table and chairs, and occasional furniture. There is a well equipped bathroom with toilet, washbasin and bath with shower attachment. The large double bedroom is a delight, with a king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and occasional furniture. Outside is a private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. There is also a hot tub in the garden which is for shared use, via a simple booking system. All bedding and towels are provided. Please note, this property is in the eaves so I don't recommend anyone over 6' staying!

Compton Dundon is located between the interesting historic towns of Somerton and Glastonbury and is a pretty and quiet village nestled between two hills. It is close to many attractions and is a fantastic place for a number of walks. The lovely city of Wells is only 20 minutes away and is well worth a visit.

“Lovely barn; amazing hot tub.”

Lovely barn conversion in a gorgeous part of Somerset with an amazing hot tub and great local within walking distance. You do have to share the hot tub with the other guests but there is a very clear and fair schedule. The part that we stayed in was the top part so the ceiling is rather low (hubbie bumped his head a few times and he's an average height male) and you have to shower sat in the bath - neither of which we had picked up about before arriving (though that may have just been me missing it). All in all a lovely stay and Caroline is very friendly but need a proper shower for 5 stars!
