Awarded best bed and breakfast business in Gig Harbor 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015! Selected for Gig Harbor's 2017 Garden Tour! Selected for the Christmas Tour of Homes in 2013! The Parsonage now offers lodging only and use of the house, hot tub, patio and gardens. This listing offers a QUEEN BED ROOM WITH AN OPTIONAL BLOW UP TWIN BED for a third guest at $15 more per night. There is a DISCOUNTED GROUP RATE when both private bed rooms are booked at the same time at $243 per night or $1531 per week. The GROUP MAXIMUM is FIVE people for the KING BED ROOM, the QUEEN BED ROOM, AND one 18" HIGH INFLATED TWIN BED. Breakfast is no longer served. There are 10 restaurants within two blocks. This home originally was the first minister's house in Gig Harbor. As the 4th owners, John and Mary transformed this 1901 Victorian in 2008 into a modern home with top end finishes, keeping the original structure. All the charm of high ceilings and angles remain. Surrounded by lovely gardens, water features, and the protection of a dragon, guests will enjoy John's whimsy. Guest bedrooms are located on the upper level. Guests have use of the house, which includes a living room, dining room, sitting room, office space, kitchen, and 1.5 bathrooms. There is free WIFI and free use of a printer. The bed is graced by an original 1850 headboard. The room features a nightstand, good lighting, dresser, table and chair, flat screen TV, DVD player, small refrigerator, closet, and air conditioner. There is a wonderful garden patio and 8 person hot tub. Don't pack a bathrobe; we have them for you. Beach towels are given to hot tub users, too. The sitting room has a microwave oven. Grab a book from the community exchange and walk downtown. The waterfront along Gig Harbor is only 1.5 blocks away! Nowhere is it more gorgeous than Gig Harbor's waterfront with its parlay of boats, parks, shops, museum, restaurants, and art galleries. Hike or bike trails; rent kayaks, stand up boards, boats, or a romantic authentic gondola on Gig Harbor's Bay in the summer. Centrally located to Seattle, Olympia, Gig Harbor and Kitsap Peninsula, you will fill every day of your vacation with outstanding tourist sites, activities, and events. The Parsonage Inn is the best "home away from home"!

Getting around

A car is recommended for seeing greater Gig Harbor and other nearby sites and cities. If there are no mobility issues, walking the downtown waterfront is pleasant. The city of Gig Harbor operates a shuttle bus from the downtown area to Uptown Gig Harbor for access to the Imax Theater, the Gig Harbor Theater, other shops, restaurants, and grocery stores.

Interaction with guest

Mary lives in The Parsonage, too. Her living quarters are located on the opposite side of the house. Guests are given kitchen and "hanging out" privacy. Mary is there to provide assistance as requested.

House rules

This is an owner occupied house. The whole house can be rented for the summer rate of $250 per night. That would include the two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms in about 2300 square feet. This listing is for one private bedroom and 1.5 shared bathrooms, but with use of the whole house. The owner shares only the kitchen. The Inn is located four houses from beautiful Gig Harbor Bay. With Mt. Rainier backdrop and marinas, it is stunning!

Response from the owner Hello Laura, I am sorry that you and Bill were disappointed in your accommodation. Maybe you did not read the complete listing. I believe the photos are an accurate presentation of the property. All my ad sites reflect the correct disclosure that guests have 1.5 baths to use. I did not raise prices in 2018 and elected to cease serving breakfast. Since there are 10 restaurants within two blocks, I thought guests would have easy access to more breakfast choices. In a survey of my guests, this was clearly their preference. I sent an email confirmation on Sept. 6;, 2018, to your email. This provided all the details of your reservation and what would be provided during your stay. I try to provide a nice accommodation for guests. I am sorry you were unhappy. Mary Souza
