Description

This wonderful apartment is ideally located in the central Cannaregio, one of the most popular and characteristic district of Venice, five minutes from the Rialto bridge and seven minutes from Piazza San Marco. The apartment is on the third floor with no elevator and situated inside the ancient Palazzo Maggiani. It has been recently renovated but maintains its classic atmosphere thanks to the unique features and period furniture, typical Venetian style. The soaring ceilings and the top floor position makes the apartment really bright and airy, with an amazing view over the Venetian roofs. It comprises two levels offering generous space and can host up to 8 people. On the ground floor there is a comfortable and cozy living room with dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, three double bedrooms (two with double beds and one with two twin beds) and two bathrooms. On the upper level there is a large studio with bed for two and one bathroom. The apartment is very quiet and equipped with A/C in three of bedrooms and portable AC in another bedroom, Wi-fi connection, washing machine, dishwasher and Tv. The location is excellent with convenient stores, shops, bakeries and “Bacari” (traditional venetian restaurants) nearby. In this lively area you can also find many markets, antique shops and the famous Teatro Malibran. With its lovely characteristic design and modern comfort you will fully enjoy the magic of this amazing city

Response from the manager Dear Guest, the building has no elevator, this information is clearly indicated in the description. The apartment you have booked is self-catering, that means that we provide some toilet rolls at check-in but if it is not sufficient you should buy it once it is finished. The lights could have been repaired, but you stayed 3 nights and addressed the issues only on your second day. If you told us sooner, our maintenance staff could intervene immediately. Regards

“Great location”

The location was great. There are water bus stops closer than the Rialto Bridge. Many places to shop & eat in the area. The apartment was clean & roomy. The garbage rules were hard to follow at 1st. There are many stairs but with a beautiful view at the top. There were 10 of us at the end of a 2 week adventure & this was our home base for our last 3 nights. We love Venice even with high water! We would stay there again but with lighter luggage.

“Nice apartment in great neighborhood.”

We enjoyed the apartment once we drug our luggage up the 5 flights of stairs. This was after pulling our luggage 15 minutes from the closest vaporetto stop, Ca d'Ora. We also has a two hour lag time after arriving at the train station, SL., and getting contact by the rental agent that escorted us to the apartment. Contact was finally made after I called the rental agency instead of the personal number given to me by the agent. When she arrived she did spend plenty of time explaining the apartment and the neighborhood. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. No TV but Internet. Numerous restaurants, bars, and shopping in the area. Enjoyed watching the children play after school in the little plaza right off the apartment. Oh, and on Saturday night, you can hear the gondoliers sing as they navigate the rio that runs along the apartment.
