At Tryon Bay Lake House, Lake Lure is literally your backyard and you can step out on the deck and enjoy the beautiful lake views or walk just a few steps down to the dock, where you can swim, fish or take out the 3-person canoe to explore the lake. There is access to the lake from both floors, and the large, wrap around main floor deck is furnished for dining and relaxing. In the fall enjoy the 2 wood burning fireplaces (firewood provided). To keep the kids happy, there's a game room downstairs with a foosball table, games and books and a nice flat lawn to toss a ball. Conveniently located to most area attractions, Tryon Bay Lake House allows you to do everything . . . or do nothing. Enjoy water sports, zip lining, hiking in Chimney Rock State Park, as well as on other, more challenging trails, horseback riding or simply sitting in the swing on the deck with a book while watching the kids play in the lake. When the crisp fall days arrive and during winter holidays, you can get cozy before two wood burning fireplaces – one in the living area and one in the game room. Tryon Bay Lake House is casually furnished for year-round enjoyment and is somewhere you can relax, put your feet up and feel at home. Shopping and dining in Chimney Rock Village is only 4 miles away, or venture out and visit the historic Biltmore Estate in Asheville, which is about an hour away. This lakefront home is only 15 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center where you can enjoy watching or participating in equestrian competitions. And two of our best restaurants, Larkin's on the Lake and Bayfront Bar and Grill, are within walking distance, or you can go by canoe and dock it at the restaurant! Layout:Main level: Open plan living area and eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms, two full baths. Sliding glass doors lead to deck overlooking the lake. NOTE: The staircase between floors is a metal, spiral staircase. Downstairs: Game room, two bedrooms, one bath, laundry area. Sliding glass doors lead to back yard and lake. Also, please note that the twin bedroom contains TWO twin beds and the game room has a futon, not a sofa sleeper. However, Flip Key does not state it correctly and we are unable to correct it. Sorry, NO PETS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

House rules

No outdoor fires at Tryon Bay Lake House. Maximum occupancy is 10 people, including children. No smoking please. We love animals, but for the comfort of all our guests, we do not allow pets. Parking is limited in the mountains. There is parking for only 3 cars at this house. NOTE: There is public overnight parking at the Arcade Building, which is across the street from the Lake Lure Beach. Sorry, no large parties or events.

“Great views at Lake Lure.”

A friend, my 11 year old son and I enjoyed the weekend at the Tryon Bay home. The house is in a good location on the lake near restaurants, grocery and Chimney Rock. We enjoyed climbing Chimney Rock and taking a boat tour of the lake. We also went out in the canoe at the house. The cove is quiet and good for swimming. The house is clean and comfortable. The house is at lake level and there is not a big hill to walk down to get to the water. The house includes games and a foosball table that my son enjoyed.
