Description

This is a first floor holiday apartment, situated in a mews accommodation block in the grounds of the Inn on the Lake Hotel, at Glenridding on Ullswater, Cumbria. The hotel has excellent facilities, beautiful gardens and boasts some of the finest views to be found in the Lake District. It is a very popular hotel and hosts weddings throughout the year.

The apartment is well equipped and is cosy and comfortable and would suit a family or small group of friends. This is the perfect place to relax or to enjoy the full range of activities the outdoors can give you.

Standard booking policy is for 7 nights. However, should you want to book less than a week, please message me via Trip Advisor and I will see if I can accommodate you.

Ullswater is a great location from which to sample all the benefits a Lakes holiday has to offer. Fantastic views, great places to eat and drink and wonderful lake cruises. Glenridding also provides a superb base for walking and other outdoor activities: Classic high level walks, including Striding Edge and Swirral Edge on Helvellyn. Beautiful and varied low level walks by the lake or in the surrounding valleys cater for all levels of ability. Sailing, Pony Trekking, Quad Biking and Fishing are all also only a short distance away.

The apartment has two bedrooms:

Bedroom one: one double bed

Bedroom two: A family room with a 4'.6" double bed and a 'combo' bunk bed. Double on the bottom, single on the top. Both suitable for adults and children.

While bed linen and two towels per person are included in the rental price, guests will have to make their own beds up and strip the sheets after their stay.

Secure storage for bicycles and canoes can be arranged if required.

The apartment now has a small washer/dryer situated in the kitchen. Please bring your own detergents and fabric conditioner if you are intending to use it. There is a 'Lakeland', heated drying rack and cover for drying off clothes, towels etc.

There are two 32 amp charging sockets situated in the car park operated by the Hotel, payment by bank card.

Getting around

Glenridding has bus service, all year round to Penrith. In the summer, there are buses going over the Kirkstone Pass to Ambleside,Windemere and Bowness. Glenridding is also the main stop for the Ullswater Steamers which now ply the length of the lake all year round.

Interaction with guest

Regretfully I do not live nearby, so cannot meet and greet you. However, access is by using a key safe located next to the front door. Further details on this are provided once full payment is made. Our caretaker, Shirley, does lives in the village and can be contacted in the case of an emergency or other issue with the flat. I can also be contacted by phone and will do my best to sort any issues out.
