Description

Built in the 70 years the structure was the summer residence of the Sisters of Mary of Racalmuto, in the province of Agrigento. Located in contrada Roveto/Casalvecchio approximately 500 metres from the town centre, has an extension of about 700 sq m it has annexed to church celebrations, two terraces, one with vista within the property and the other overlooking the majestic mountains of Madonie. All rooms are bright with Windows and balconies, one room is equipped with private bathroom, others with private bathroom. Equipped with two large halls, the first, called Gaia is a large hall used for relaxation with Gymnastics equipment and leisure, the second named Giulia is a large room with TV, DVD player, in which you can listen to music and read newspapers. Outside we have two open spaces instead of about 2000 m2 with trees and flowerbeds, and a Petting Zoo with domesticated animals, (chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits, goats and birds). In addition to everything are available an old-fashioned wood-fired oven to enjoy the guests the flavours and the typical products of Sicily and some barbecue to prepare grilled dishes and finally a large guarded parking lot. For guests in groups, guided tours are possible in the nearby town of Racalmuto monuments and ancient Churches, of the Chiaramontan Castle located in the Centre of the village of Castelluccio ancient Arab fortress which is located about 5 Km from the town centre. Also possible visits in places of the writer Leonardo Sciascia his country house and the foundation that maintains a vast collection of books and paintings that belonged to him. A few km. the salt mines and brimstone and salt and rock salt mine still in operation and the magnificent city of Agrigento's Valley of the temples, Porto Empedocle well known for master Cammilleri and his Inspector Montalbano, the seaside town of St. Leo and the Scala dei Turchi. Nearby lies the Valley of the temples.
