Tunstall Bay, Bowen Island. Modern fully separate apartment on main floor of a barged in heritage building featured in Michael Kluckner's book 'Vanishing Vancouver'. On the sunny west side of Bowen Island. 500m to the best swimming, kayak launch, sunset watching beach on island. Spacious 1000 sq.ft. with high end kitchen, bar, dining area and main space with fireplace. Perfect for events/receptions. Can seat 40. French doors leading to a large private deck flank one whole side of the building. Steps to a large stone patio with a fire pit and bbq on one side, and a secret waterfall pond hidden by a wall of laurels on the other. Bathroom features a super deep soaker tub, rain shower, washer/dryer. The bedroom is appointed in antiques to compliment the copper ceiling tiles. A large desk awaits your next opus. Walk out onto the covered deck and enjoy a rainy candlelit night. A queen size Murphy bed will be available in June for extra guests. Close to hiking trails, golf course and right on the bus route that takes you to the cove where you can check out a number of shops and restaurants (and more trails!) Meals are available on request for a separate fee. Catering is also available for events. Your host, a professional cook and baker, has lived on island for 23 years and will be happy to help you find the gems of Bowen. Fishing and boat tours available as weather permits.

Catering options: From muffins to go to full on eggs benny and mimosas; from picnic baskets to gourmet 5-mile salads, from down-home bbq's to seafood tapas. We have a bus that runs hourly during commuter hours and bi-hourly otherwise. Hitch hiking is very normal around here.

Smoking outside only. We recycle - do not mix garbage. Neighbourhood noise bylaws apply - bring it inside after 9pm. Septic system, so nothing except toilet paper in toilets or alarm will sound.
