Description

Probably the only Ski Chalet in the 3 valleys ski area set amongst its own orchards and gardens. Open all seasons, just 10/15 minutes from the centre of Meribel but a million miles from the world and its woes, these two sister-chalets are strikingly spacious, beautifully furnished, equipped with the best utensils and with views that will stop you in your tracks. Chalet Iona, formally know as The Chalet at the end of the Village, provides peace and calm in the most comfortable and exquisite of settings.

The property is in fact, two chalets: The Main chalet sleeps 12-14 in 6 bedrooms, and the little chalet 6-8. They are linked by a short footpath as are the jacuzzi (outdoor), the sauna and the wine cellar. Both chalets have decks and balconies, capturing sun all day. Prices shown are for the main chalet only. The little chalet can be rented on its own, and has its own entry as "The little chalet at the end of the village".

The chalets are equipped with everything a family would need or want on a ski or mountain holiday: Snow shoes, skis, 10 televisions, DVD and home cinema, wifi, sauna, jacuzzi, log fires, Bose bluetooth sound systems, library, computer and wireless printer, games and telescope, raclette and fondue equipment, heated ski boot rooms, laundry, seating for 30 in 4 or 5 distinct areas, a handmade oak dining table for up to 20, fully equipped kitchens ...

Winter rentals include; daily maid service, a butler, transport to and from the ski slopes, grocery shopping, concierge service and breakfast prepared every morning.

A private chef, private ski and tennis instructor, mountain guide, physio and masseuse are available on request.

Our summer guests tend to be more independent, so during this time the chalet is sold on a self catering basis with bed linen, towels and end of stay cleaning included.

“It's absolutely stunning !”

Came for an early Summer break, partly to check out the area for a ski holiday at New Year. In the end there were 12 of us and so we spilled over into both chalets. We didn't meet Richard, the owner, and his family but we were superbly welcomed by his manager, Louise. The chalet is quite simply stunning. The photos and description on different websites are very nice, but they don't capture in any way how perfect the chalet is. We had cows moo-ing just next to our garden (!) and deer at sunset. Even the local neighbours think their village is paradise and they must have been there centuries ! We're definitely coming this Winter, it's a beautiful chalet.
