This semi-detached cottage is located in the village of Pennington and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.Horrace Farm Cottage is a semi-detached cottage in the village of Pennington on the Lake District Peninsula. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom and one twin with a family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen with dining area and sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking for three cars and a patio with outdoor furniture. Situated on the Lake District Peninsula, Horrace Farm Cottage is a lovely holiday cottage all year round.
Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, Dishwasher, shared use of tumble dryer in external utility, TV with Freeview, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Patio with furniture. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3 miles, pub 2 miles. Note: There is an open plan staircase to first floor. Note: Cottage on working farm and dogs must be on a lead at all times.
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Pennington is a small hamlet with a scattering of dwellings, farms and country pubs, situated on the beautiful Lake District Peninsula, an area of tranquillity, gentle hills and unspoilt walking country. Locally, the start of the Haematite and Cumbrian Way footpaths can be located, and the twin pubs at Great Urswick Tarn are renowned locally for their fine ales and good food. Pennington's nearby neighbour, Ulverston, is an ancient market town that still holds a street market every Thursday and Saturday. Today, the town is well known as a Festival Town, with events throughout the year, and as the birthplace of Stan Laurel - it is now home to the only Laurel and Hardy museum in the world! Facilities include a wide range of independent shops, pubs, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre.
