“Idyllic Holiday Accommodation”
Perfect holiday rental in well kept grounds. We were welcomed by Daniela, Maria and Salvatore who had provided all essential provisions for our first day - milk, coffee, sugar, bread, butter, fruit juice, water plus a number of extras. Cleaning items also provided. Salvatore showed us around the property which was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. TV in every room. Efficient cooker, washing machine, air conditioning. Plenty of hot water. Good internet connection. Ideal pool with plenty of sunbeds plus other garden furniture. Car would be needed unless you wish to crash out for a week which would certainly be an option. We visited Ragusa and Ragusa Ibla (10 minutes drive). We also explored Donnlucata, Scoglitti and Punta Secca (saw Montalbano's house) all of which have lovely beaches and numerous ice cream parlours and restaurants. Understand Sampieri is also worth a visit but we ran out of time. Gather Scilians do not use kettles and didn't see much evidence of regular tea drinking. We were provided with two coffee makers. Without a doubt, the best holiday rental we have used. We were often torn between just staying at Casa Scirocco or going out.
