Description

Un Petit Coin de France in the hamlet of La Fage, Anglars St Felix is a 160 year old converted barn retaining it's character with natural stone, exposed beams and a log wood burner.

Situated off the beaten track in the small hamlet of La Fage surrounded by beautiful open countryside, the perfect place to unwind and explore.

Light and spacious gite with a solar heated pool set in the heart of the Aveyron countryside with views of rolling hills. Only 5 minutes from the shops and cafes of the market village of Rignac

Ideal for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.......a true French retreat.

I have furnished the gite to give a homely feel and with your comfort in mind. The kitchen is equipped with everything you should need, should you be fed up on being waited on in the restaurants.

There is also a children's playpen, cot and highchair available if required just to make life just a little easier!

The pool is normally open between 01 June to 30 September but it may be opened earlier depending on the weather . Please ask us if you require the pool outside of these dates.

“peaceful retreat in glorious countryside”

On arrival our gite was lovely and clean and beautifully presented. There were many thoughtful touches, including a welcoming bottle of wine and beautiful biscuits. We had fantastic weather and enjoyed relaxing on the very private patio,which had the sun all day. I would imagine in summer, with the pool available, it would be gorgeous. It is very peaceful and rural - a car is essential- but there are a few shops within a short ( 10-15 mins ) drive for basic provisions , and a large (ish) town about 25 mins away which has a really good weekly market and some amazing architecture. There are also many beautiful villages to explore on the doorstep and lovely walks through forests and gently rolling countryside. We were only there for 4 days, but could have stayed for many more. We would like to go back and explore further .

“Fantastic rural France”

We stayed at Lynne and Garys Gite in early September and had a fantastic time. The Gite was fantastic, situated in a beautiful rural location and was really what we were all looking for. When you holiday in a rural location like this you really need to have your research done, we didn't, but thankfully Lynne had everything covered with a folder full of information on restaurants / markets / walks / activities / sites etc. that made life very very easy for us. The 'market culture' of Aveyron was such a nice experience with lots of interesting food to sample. Coming home in the evenings and relaxing by the pool was a great way to take the edge off.

“A haven of tranquility in rural France”

From our first contact Lynne and Gary were most welcoming, they have given a great deal of thought to the needs of their guests staying at the gite and have provided excellently; wonderful range of kitchen equipment including picnic facilities, bbq, games, books, guides to the area etc, etc. The gite is beautifully decorated, a most comfortable "home from home" and above all spotlessly clean. The setting is tranquil, all that is needed to ensure a restful break, views of open countryside providing an abundance of wild flowers and interesting bird life; kites, kestrels, Whoopoe's, shrikes, buzzards to name but a few. The location allows for easy visits to a large number of attractions; Cordes, Conques, The Aubrac.
