Castle Inn Lisbon é um edifício do sec XIX totalmente reconstruído com assinatura de artistas portugueses.

Está localizado no coração do Castelo de São Jorge, junto às bilheteiras, lado a lado com os habitantes que aí vivem desde sempre e que dão alma a esta freguesia que é o berço da cidade de Lisboa. A freguesia, no sec XIX designada por Santa Cruz do Castelo, compreendendo o Castelo e as habitações dentro das Muralhas, mantém-se em traços gerais igual desde a sua fundação e sobreviveu ao Terramoto de 1755. A primeira referência que se regista a esta zona habitacional remonta ao ano de 138 a.C, quando Décimo Junius Brutus ainda antes da criação da colónia romana Felicitas Julia (hoje Lisboa) mandou fortificar a cidade.

Também as escavações que foram realizadas para a reconstrução do Castle Inn Lisbon evidenciaram uma parte da grande riqueza arqueológica que subsiste debaixo deste edifício.

No rés-do-chão funciona um espaço concessionado para restauração, onde outrora funcionava uma Taberna, e um pátio típico interior antes designado de Pateo Chalet.

Muitos dos apartamentos tem vista para o Pátio partilhado pelos habitantes do bairro, fazendo com o que visitante se sinta como um local e viva a vida real dos “lisboetas de gema”, num ambiente rico de cultura e com absoluta tranquilidade.

It has countless belvederes, museums, monuments, churches, beaches, spectacles, nightlife, restaurants and bars. But besides all this, do not forget that walking on typical streets, historic neighborhoods in downtown lisbon, or sitting on the esplanades and by the river are experiences that you can not miss. Lisbon is a lively city full of brightness, color and street life.

“Lovely apartment. Good location”

The area around the castle where the apartment is located is absolutely charming. It is busy during the day and quiet at night. The apartment was clean and bright and comfortable. It provided everything needed . The hosts were friendly and helpful. Many other sights were within walking distance. One caveat: the castle is located at the top of a hill so make sure you have good legs and good walking shoes! We enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again.
